The pH of samples of the reactor effluent at room temperature was found to be 8.9.An aqueous solution comprising approx. 69% NPG, approx. 1.8% HPN, approx. 2% isobutanol, approx. 3.5% methanol, approx. 2% TMA, remainder water, was obtained after the hydrogenation.
