The oil formed is extracted with ether, the ether phases are washed with water and then dried over sodium sulphate and the ether is eliminated by distillation. The oily residue obtained is purified by fractionation in vacuo. B.p.0.2/0.5 =187-193 C., weight: 271 grams, yield 50%. The DL camphosulphonate of the product is prepared in ethanol and recrystallized in ethyl acetate. Yield=85%, M.p.=108 C.
