The suspension was cooled to rt and the solids were filtered off, and subsequently washed with CH2Cl2. The clear liquid was evaporated to dryness, yielding the tri-aldehyde as white powder (385 mg, 2.38 mmol, quant). 1H NMR (500 MHz, Chloroform-d) 8 10.21 (s, 3H), 8.64 (s, 3H). 130 NMR (126 MHZ, CDCl3) 6 189.78, 137.80, 134.76.
