Study on the synthesis of diethylene glycol di(meth)acrylate by transesterification was written by Song, Guoqiang;Li, Beibei;Tang, Long;Wang, Lingzhu;Luo, Jiuyan. And the article was included in Tuliao Gongye in 2014.COA of Formula: C10H14O5 This article mentions the following:
Diethylene glycol di(meth)acrylate reactive diluent has been synthesized by transesterification with diethylene glycol and Me (meth)acrylate through reactive distillation apparatus in order to achieve clean, efficient and high quality production The effects of different catalysts, polymerization system and the ratio of reaction material on reaction were investigated. The optimal conditions were obtained as follows: the purity of the product was 93% or more and the yield was 90% or more when the molar ratio of alc. to esters was 1:6 with dibutyltin dilaurate as catalyst on air and hydroxyanisole inhibitor mixed polymerization system. The chroma was good. 1H-NMR, GC and LC-MS were applied to monitor and characterize the products. In the experiment, the researchers used many compounds, for example, Diethyleneglycoldiacrylate (cas: 4074-88-8COA of Formula: C10H14O5).
Diethyleneglycoldiacrylate (cas: 4074-88-8) belongs to alcohols. The oxygen atom of the strongly polarized O―H bond of an alcohol pulls electron density away from the hydrogen atom. This polarized hydrogen, which bears a partial positive charge, can form a hydrogen bond with a pair of nonbonding electrons on another oxygen atom. A multistep synthesis may use Grignard-like reactions to form an alcohol with the desired carbon structure, followed by reactions to convert the hydroxyl group of the alcohol to the desired functionality.COA of Formula: C10H14O5
