Zhao, Y. N.; Cao, Y. N.; Sun, J.; Liang, Z.; Wu, Q.; Cui, S. H.; Zhi, D. F.; Guo, S. T.; Zhen, Y. H.; Zhang, S. B. published the artcile< Anti-breast cancer activity of resveratrol encapsulated in liposomes>, Application In Synthesis of 501-36-0 , the main research area is breast cancer anttumor liposome resveratrol.

Resveratrol (RES) is a naturally occurring and effective drug for tumor prevention and treatment. However, its low levels of aqueous solubility, stability, and poor bioavailability limit its application, especially when used as a free drug. In this study, RES was loaded into peptide and sucrose liposomes (PSL) to enhance the physico-chem. properties of RES and exploit RES delivery mediated by liposomes to effectively treat breast cancer. RES loaded PSL (the complex: PSL@RES) were stable, had a good RES encapsulation efficiency, and prolonged RES-release in vitro. PSL@RES was exceptionally efficient for inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, as the IC50 of PSL@RES in MCF-7 cells was found to be only 20.89 μmol L-1. The therapeutic efficacy of PSL@RES was evaluated in mice bearing breast cancer. The results showed that PSL@RES at a dosage of 5 mg kg-1 was more effective than 10 mg kg-1 free RES, and PSL@RES inhibited tumor growth completely at a dosage of 10 mg kg-1. PSL@RES induced apoptosis in breast tumor by upregulation of p53 expression. This then downregulated Bcl-2 and upregulated Bax, thereby inducing Caspase-3 activation. More importantly, encapsulation of RES within peptide liposomes greatly reduced the toxicity of free RES to mice. Overall, the simple formulation of liposomal nanocarriers of RES developed in this study produces satisfactory outcomes to encourage further applications of liposomal carriers for the treatment of breast cancer.

Zhu, Kaili; Xu, Xudong; Xu, Mengqiu; Deng, Ping; Wu, Wenbo; Ye, Wei; Weng, Zihui; Su, Yue; Wang, Huijie; Xiao, Fei; Fang, Zeping; Gao, Peng published the artcile< One-Pot Synthesis of Tensile-Strained PdRuCu Icosahedra toward Electrochemical Hydrogenation of Alkene>, HPLC of Formula: 627-27-0, the main research area is alkene lead ruthenium copper icosahedra one pot synthesis.

Electrochem. hydrogenation (ECH) uses electricity to drive proton (H+) reduction for hydrogenation, which can greatly reduce energy supply and environmental pollution, representing an ideal alternative to traditional thermal hydrogenation. In this work, we put forward tensile-strained PdRuCu alloy to promote ECH. Tensile strain promotes the adsorption of C=C by changing the d-band center. Meanwhile, alloying Ru and Cu into Pd lattice facilitates hydrogenation by weakening Pd-H bonding. Therefore, PdRuCu icosahedra display excellent ECH performance of 2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol (MBE) with specific activity of 227.4μmolMBE nm-2 min-1 at -0.3 V vs. reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE), about 16.1 and 10.5 times higher than that of com. Pd/C and Ru/C, resp. In addition, PdRuCu icosahedra was excellent in the scaling up of substrate concentration combined with anisyl alc. oxidation to produce high-value added anisaldehyde at anode. This work provides a guideline for the rational design of highly active and durable metallic catalyst in ECH.

We developed glycopolyesters (GPs) via azido-sugar initiated ring-opening polymerization of O-carboxyanhydrides (OCAs) and achieved efficient in vivo cancer targeting via GP-nanoparticle (GP-NP) mediated metabolic cell labeling followed by Click reaction. GP-NP shows controlled release of azido-sugars and can efficiently label LS174T colon cancer cells with azido groups in tumor-bearing mice. The exogenously introduced azido groups render excellent in vivo cancer targeting and retention of dibenzocyclooctyne-Cy5 (DBCO-Cy5) with an increasing tumor retention enhancement over time (68% at 6 h, 105% at 24 h, and 191% at 48 h) compared to control mice without azido labeling. The tumor accumulation of DBCO-doxorubicin is also significantly enhanced in GP-NP pretreated mice, resulting in improved in vivo anticancer efficacy. This study, for the first time, proposes the use of azido-sugar initiated polymerization of OCAs to form sugar delivery vehicles with high stability and controlled release, and demonstrates the increasing tumor targeting effect of DBCO-cargo over time by azido-modified tumor cells.

We developed an effective method for reductive radical formation that utilizes the radical anion of carbon dioxide (CO2•-) as a powerful single electron reductant. Through a polarity matched hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) between an electrophilic radical and a formate salt, CO2•- formation occurs as a key element in a new radical chain reaction. Here, radical chain initiation can be performed through photochem. or thermal means, and we illustrate the ability of this approach to accomplish reductive activation of a range of substrate classes. Specifically, we employed this strategy in the intermol. hydroarylation of unactivated alkenes with (hetero)aryl chlorides/bromides, radical deamination of arylammonium salts, aliphatic ketyl radical formation, and sulfonamide cleavage. We show that the reactivity of CO2•- with electron-poor olefins results in either single electron reduction or alkene hydrocarboxylation, where substrate reduction potentials can be utilized to predict reaction outcome.
