Methods: A total of 200 children with chronic cough were divided into the study group and the control group, 100 cases each, by digital parity. Based on the routine treatment, the control group was addnl. treated with ambroxol hydrochloride syrup, and the study group was addnl. treated with Xiao′er Feike granules. After two weeks of treatment, the clin. symptoms and signs in the two groups and the clin. effect were evaluated, and the immune function. Results: The total effective rate in the study group of 93.00% was higher than what was 67.00% in the control group, which was statistically significant (P<0.05). Before treatment, the difference in the comparison of Chinese medicine syndrome scores between the two groups was no significant (P>0.05). After treatment, the Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased and the scores was statistically significant between the study group and the control group (P<0.05). The cough relief time and cough disappearance time in the study group were earlier, what were statistically significant, than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference before treatment in the comparison of the levels of CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+ between all groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of CD8+ in the two groups were increased and the level of the study group was greater than that of the control group;the levels of CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ were decreased and the level of the study group were greater, which was statistically significant, than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Compared with ambroxol hydrochloride syrup, Xiao′er Feike granules is more beneficial to improving the clin. effect, relieving the clin. symptoms and improving the immune resistance of children.

Methods: The article selected 381 women with high-risk factors for postpartum hemorrhage during cesarean section admitted to the obstetrics department of Sichuan Provincial Maternity and Child Health Hospital from Jan. 2015 to Dec. 2016 as the research objects. The article compares the clin. treatment effect, operation time, intraoperative and postoperative blood loss, incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, hemostasis of postpartum hemorrhage and adverse reactions among the three groups of women. Results: The total effective rate of the control group was significantly lower than that of study group 1 and study group 2, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05); the total effective rate of study group 1 and study group 2 was compared, and the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the operation time between the three groups of women (P > 0.05). The study aims to investigate the antioxidant effect of glutathione on promoting 2-KGA in Vc fermentation system using Ketogulonicigenium vulgare 25B-1 and Bacillus endophyticus ST-1 as the co-culturing microbes. Methods and Results : The activities of antioxidant-related enzymes and qPCR were used to study the antioxidant effect of glutathione addition in Vc fermentation system. The addition of GSH and GSH/GSSG increased 2-KGA production and decreased fermentation time, and the highest 2-KGA production increased by 40·63% and the lowest fermentation time shortened to 60 h when the addition of optimal concentration ratio of GSH/GSSG was 50 : 1. Moreover, the increased production of 2-KGA was accompanied by up-regulated the activities of total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD), catalase (CAT) and over-expressed oxidative stress-related genes sod,gst,gr,zwf,gp, which resulted in scavenging reactive oxygen species to reduce oxidative stress in Vc fermentation system. Conclusions : Glutathione showed a significant effect on increasing 2-KGA production and decreasing fermentation time in Vc fermentation system. GSH/GSSG could maintain a dynamic balance with two forms of glutathione and the optimal concentration ratio of GSH/GSSG was 50 : 1. Significance and Impact of the Study : Glutathione is proved to be effective to relieve oxidative stress. The promotion effects of GSSG and GSH on 2-KGA production could help to further explore the optimization of co-culture fermentation process for Vc industrial production

Summary : High-temperature fermented apple is a new fermented product with characteristic black appearance, which is prepared through natural fermentation of whole fresh apple at controlled high temperature (60-90°C) and humidity (relative humidity of 50-90%). In this work, melanoidins from high-temperature fermented apple were obtained by ultrafiltration and subsequent diafiltration. The structural characterization of melanoidins was investigated in the present study. Results showed that the mol. weight of the obtained melanoidins was about 179 kDa and the melanoidins were comprised primarily of furans by pyrolysis-gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry. Antioxidant activities of the high-temperature fermented apple and its melanoidins were evaluated by ABTS, DPPH, hydroxyl radicals, ferric reducing antioxidant power and Fe2+-chelating assays. Both high-temperature fermented apple and its melanoidins showed extremely high antioxidant activities in scavenging hydroxyl radicals. High correlation between the antioxidant activity assayed methods and the physicochem. characteristics of melanoidins was obtained. The contribution of melanoidins to the total antioxidant capacity of high-temperature fermented apple was determined
