OBJECTIVE: The paper explored the clin. efficacy of intraoperative injection of carboprost tromethamine to prevent postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean sections with placenta previa. Methods: The paper selected 54 cases of cesarean delivery with placenta previa who were treated in the hospital from March 2013 to March 2015 as the research subjects, and were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 27 cases in each group. The mothers in the observation group were injected with carboprost tromethamine in the uterine body after the newborn was delivered, while the women in the control group were given oral misoprostol. The paper observed and recorded the occurrence of bleeding and adverse reactions in the two groups during and after operation, within 2 h and within 24 h. Results: The intraoperative blood loss of patients in the postpartum observation group, and within 2 h and 24 h after the operation were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05); the incidence of maternal adverse reactions was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Intraoperative injection of carboprost tromethamine during cesarean delivery with placenta previa could effectively prevent postpartum hemorrhage, reduce the amount of intraoperative and postoperative bleeding, and improve the quality of life of the woman.

Bacillus megaterium is widely used as companion bacterium in the two-step biosynthesis of 2-keto-L-gulonic acid (2-KLG) by Ketogulonicigenium vulgare. To screen efficiently target companion strains from large numbers of random mutants, a screen method based on spectrophotometry and 24-well microtiter plates was developed and validated on an integrated library of 450 transposon random insertional mutants and two sporulation-defective mutants. The co-culture processes were classified into three groups (low, intermediate and high performance) by K-mean clustering anal. In addition, mutant m71 was successfully screened out from the library. The substrate conversion ratio of m71 and K. vulgare co-culture process after 72 h was decreased by about 38% compared with that of the wild-type co-culture process in 750 mL flasks. These results indicated that the proposed high throughput method is feasible for screening target companions for the co-culture process of 2-KLG biosynthesis.

Aluminum sulfate alkali-free liquid accelerator is a kind of shotcrete admixture used in the construction of tunnels and culverts. In order to investigate the influence of alkanol amine in aluminum sulfate alkali-free liquid accelerator on cement hydration and strength, the different proportion of triethanolamine (TEA) and triisopropanolamine (TIPA) mixtures were added to aluminum sulfate alkali-free liquid accelerator. The mortar strength was measured by universal testing machine, and the hydration products were analyzed by XRD SEM and thermogravimetric anal. The results show that TEA can promote the hydration of C3A to form ettringite (AFt) and improve the early strength of cement, and TIPA can promote the hydration of ferrite phase, improve the degree of hydration, and promote the later strength of cement. The synergistic effect of TEA and TIPA in proper proportion can improve both the early strength and late strength of cement at all ages.

This methodol. enables the stereodivergent synthesis of diverse 2,3-disubstituted dihydrobenzofurans with broad functional group compatibility in good yields with high levels of stereoselectivity under exceptionally mild conditions. The full complement of stereoisomers of chiral 2,3-disubstituted dihydrobenzofurans and 3,4-disubstituted isochromans could be accessed at will by appropriate permutations of the two chiral catalysts. The current work provides a rare example of two chiral catalysts independently controlling two contiguous stereogenic centers subsequently via a two-step reaction in a single operation.

The not-from-concentrate (NFC) juice is gradually becoming popular with consumers. However, adulteration of NFC juice with low-priced from-concentrate (FC) juice has been a long-lasting concern. In the present study, a volatolomics approach for authentication of NFC orange juice based on volatile organic compounds (VOCs) was established. A total of 107 VOCs were identified by solid phase microextraction (SPME) GC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap. Discrimination of NFC and FC orange juice could be accomplished by orthogonal partial least squares discriminant anal. (OPLS-DA). Furthermore, 10 VOCs were selected as potential characteristic markers in different juices, including 4 esters, 5 alcs. and 1 ketone. In addition, 13 VOCs with significant quant. difference was also screened. A partial least squares discriminant anal. (PLS-DA) model based on the above 23 VOCs achieved accuracy of 100% and 95.6% for calibration and prediction set, resp. These results suggested that the volatolomics approach has great potential for authentication of NFC juice.

High hydrostatic pressure at 600 MPa/4 min/ambient temperature inactivated total aerobic bacteria, coliform bacteria, yeasts, and molds in juices, ensuring their microbiol. safety. Under this condition, the cloudiness of cloudy juices increased by 54.49% and its viscosity decreased by 12.40%. Ascorbic acid decreased by 7.82% in cloudy juices and 12.60% in clear juices. The content of total volatile flavor compounds increased by 13.21% in cloudy juices and decreased by 6.92% in clear juices. No significant changes in anthocyanins, total phenols, and antioxidant capacity were found with high hydrostatic pressure treatment.

Narrow band gap conjugated polymer zwitterions (CPZs) were synthesized by Suzuki polymerization and characterized to understand their electronic properties and utility as cathode modification layers in solar cells. The polymers were prepared from diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) and iso-indigo monomers containing sulfobetaine (SB) pendant groups, benefiting from an ion-rich aqueous phase in the polymerizations UV-vis absorption spectroscopy revealed the optical energy gap value for the CPZs, ranging from 1.7 to 1.2 eV. UPS of the CPZs as thin layers on Ag metal showed that the pendent zwitterions impart an interfacial dipole (Δ) to the metal and a work function reduction of ∼0.9 eV. OPVs fabricated using a conventional bulk heterojunction (BHJ) device architecture of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/(PTB7:PC71BM)/CPZ/Ag led to dramatic improvements in power conversion efficiency (PCE) values relative to devices having bare Ag cathodes (PCE < 2% for bare Ag vs. 6.7-7.7% for CPZ/Ag). The benzothiadiazole (BT)/DPP polymer denoted as PT2BTDPPSB gave an optimal PCE of 7.7% in a conventional BHJ OPV device architecture fabricated on a Ag cathode. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. A redox-neutral ortho functionalization of aryl boroxines via Pd/NBE catalysis was reported. An electrophile, such as carboxylic acid anhydrides or O-benzoyl hydroxylamines, was coupled at the boroxine ortho position, and a proton as the second electrophile was introduced at the ipso position. This reaction did not require extra oxidants or reductants and avoided stoichiometric bases or acids, thereby tolerating a wide range of functional groups. In particular, orthogonal chemoselectivity between aryl iodide and boroxine moieties was demonstrated, which could be used to control reaction sequences. Finally, a deuterium-labeling study supported the ipso protonation pathway. This unique mechanistic feature could inspire the development of a new class of Pd/NBE-catalyzed transformations.
