Au supported on monoclinic ZrO2 (Au/m-ZrO2) prepared by deposition-precipitation method showed excellent catalytic performance in the aerobic oxidation of amino alcs. to amino acids, i.e., glycine, alanine, serine, β-alanine, and 2-aminobutyric acid. The Au particle size and valence distribution of the gold species were adjusted by calcination temperature, as demonstrated by XRD, TEM, UV-vis DRS, XPS, and H2-TPR, which significantly influenced the catalytic activity but not the selectivity of amino acids. Metallic gold atoms on the surface were shown to be the active sites by the correlation between reaction rate per mol of metallic Au and Au particle size. The kinetics of oxidation of monoethanolamine (MEA) was studied in detail, and the results indicated that MEA oxidation is a first-order reaction with an activation energy of 52.8 kJ·mol-1.

The bleeding volume and urine volume of the two groups of pregnant women during operation, 2h and 24h postpartum were compared and recorded, and the occurrence of adverse reactions in the two groups was observed The bleeding amount of the control group during surgery, 2h and 24h postpartum was significantly higher than that of the observation group (P < 0.05), and the urine output was lower than that of the observation group (P < 0.05). The method includes dividing 397 puerpera undergoing cesarean with high risk of postpartum hemorrhage into 3 groups: oxytocin group (injection of 20 IU oxytocin into hyster and i.v. infusion of 20 IU oxytocin, n=131), oxytocin+carboprost tromethamine group (injection of 20 IU oxytocin 20 IU+carboprost tromethamine 250μg into hyster, n=152), and carboprost tromethamine group (injection of carboprost tromethamine 250μg into hyster, n=114), calculating bleeding amount during the cesarean and 2 h after cesarean and the total bleeding amount, and observing the untoward effects. The results show that carboprost tromethamine can significantly reduce the bleeding amount during the cesarean and after cesarean, and the combination of carboprost tromethamine and oxytocin has better effect, and the untoward effect is little.

It is speculated that grain substrate may have certain effects on the synthesis and accumulation of secondary metabolism of L. paracasei L1 and L. casei YQ336. This study will lay a theor. foundation for the fermentation of plant matrix food by lactic acid bacteria and the metabolic mechanism of plant matrix.

The study aims to investigate the antioxidant effect of glutathione on promoting 2-KGA in Vc fermentation system using Ketogulonicigenium vulgare 25B-1 and Bacillus endophyticus ST-1 as the co-culturing microbes. Methods and Results : The activities of antioxidant-related enzymes and qPCR were used to study the antioxidant effect of glutathione addition in Vc fermentation system. The addition of GSH and GSH/GSSG increased 2-KGA production and decreased fermentation time, and the highest 2-KGA production increased by 40·63% and the lowest fermentation time shortened to 60 h when the addition of optimal concentration ratio of GSH/GSSG was 50 : 1. Moreover, the increased production of 2-KGA was accompanied by up-regulated the activities of total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD), catalase (CAT) and over-expressed oxidative stress-related genes sod,gst,gr,zwf,gp, which resulted in scavenging reactive oxygen species to reduce oxidative stress in Vc fermentation system. Conclusions : Glutathione showed a significant effect on increasing 2-KGA production and decreasing fermentation time in Vc fermentation system. GSH/GSSG could maintain a dynamic balance with two forms of glutathione and the optimal concentration ratio of GSH/GSSG was 50 : 1. Significance and Impact of the Study : Glutathione is proved to be effective to relieve oxidative stress. The promotion effects of GSSG and GSH on 2-KGA production could help to further explore the optimization of co-culture fermentation process for Vc industrial production

Accelerators are commonly used in the self-compacting concrete of CRTS III slab track to advance its strength development in cold areas. Triisopropanolamine (TIPA) is a known accelerator, and its influences on the strength development of hardened cement pastes (HCPs) were discussed based on a further understanding of cement hydration and microstructure. The results show that the addition of TIPA visibly heightens hydration degree at each age because it triggers the reaction of C4AF and gently promotes C3S hydration. At low dosages, more hydrates deposited in capillary pores facilitate a refined pore structure and therefore, significantly increase the early and late strengths. On the contrary, a high dosage of TIPA results in a loose and porous structure at an early age owing to the emergence of numerous AFm platelets and the reduction of Ca(OH)2 crystals, so that the heightened hydration degree only slightly increases the early compressive and flexural strengths. At a later age, high dosages of TIPA cause an increase in the volume of harmful pores (greater than 50 nm), which may result from the appearance of some pores full of fractional AFm and the changed morphol. of Ca(OH)2. Therefore, the late compressive strength of HCPs remains almost unchanged under the pos. effect of the heightened hydration degree coupled with the neg. effect of the increased volume of the harmful pores. In contrast, the late flexural strength sharply decreases, which is ascribed to both of the increased volume of the pores larger than 50 nm and the morphol. changes of hydration products.

Ag is a potential low-cost oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalyst in alk. condition, which is important for the zinc-air batteries. Here, we report that an Ag based single atom catalyst with heteroatom coordination. Ag1-h-NPClSC, has been synthesized and shown much improved performance towards ORR by manipulating the coordination environment of the Ag center. It shows a high half wave potential (0.896 V) and a high turnover frequency (TOF) (5.9 s-1) at 0.85 V, which are higher than the previously reported Ag based catalysts and com. Pt/C. A zinc-air battery with high peak power d. of 270 mW·cm-2 is fabricated by using the Ag1-h-NPClSC as air electrode. The high performance is attributed to (1) the hollow structure providing good mass transfer; (2) the single atom metal center structure providing high utility of the Ag; (3) heteroatom coordination environment providing the adjusted binding to the ORR intermediates. D. functional theory (DFT) calculations show that the energy barrier for the formation of OOH*, which is considered as the rate determine step for ORR on Ag nanoparticles, is lowered on Ag1-h-NPClSC, thus improving the ORR activity. This work demonstrates that the well manipulated Ag based single atom catalysts are promising in electrocatalysis.

The performance of the semiconducting component in organic field effect transistors (OFETs) is a key parameter in the advancement of organic electronic devices. New semiconductors are required, which can be solution processed, possess high mobility and current modulation, and are stable in ambient conditions. This work provides the first demonstration of working field effect transistor devices fabricated from novel solution processible, polymerizable, small mol. liquid crystalline semiconductors, referred to as reactive mesogens. The design, synthesis, and performance of these materials in transistor devices are reported. Reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesives (HMPURs) containing a blend of polyester and polycarbonate diols can typically exhibit balanced performance, such as bonding properties, tensile strength, and heat resistance. Two series of HMPURs made from poly(1,4-butylene adipate) or sebacic acid (SeA)-based polyester diols with different mol. weights were prepared and investigated. Increasing the mol. weight of the SeA-based polyester diols was found to significantly improve their mech. properties and lap shear strengths. Moreover, the HMPURs made from SeA-based polyester diol exhibited better performances than those made from poly(1,4-butylene adipate). Also, the HMPURs were more suitable for bonding on PC substrate.
