The impact of high-pressure (HPP, 300/600 MPa for 2 and 6 min) and thermal (TP, 65°C/30 min) processing on phenolic profiles from cloudy hawthorn berry juice (CHBJ) as well as their potential bioaccessibility during in vitro digestion were investigated. Both HPP and TP enhanced phenolics concentration due to increased extractability, indicating CHBJ provided a good matrix for protecting phenolics from degradation during food processing. Importantly, HPP significantly enhanced phenolics bioaccessibility (35.12%) compared to untreated juice (30.54%) (p < 0.05), probably due to the release of bound phenolics. This might be attributed to the reinforced interaction of phenolics with other matrix compounds induced by HPP which provided effective protection for phenolics with a sustained digestive release. Addnl., 70.07-152.92μg/100 mL of phenolics were available for large-intestine health. These findings provide basic knowledge on HPP application for designing functional juice with improved bioaccessibility of antioxidant-phenolics. A review. Polydatin (PD) is a natural single-crystal product that is primarily extracted from the traditional plant Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc. Early research showed that PD exhibited a variety of biol. activities. PD has attracted increasing research interest since 2014, but no review comprehensively summarized the new findings. A great gap between its biol. activities and drug development remains. It is necessary to summarize new findings on the pharmacol. effects of PD on current diseases. We propose that PD will most likely be used in cardiac and cerebral ischemia/reperfusion-related diseases and atherosclerosis in the future. The present work classified these new findings according to diseases and summarized the main effects of PD via specific mechanisms of action. In summary, we found that PD played a therapeutic role in a variety of diseases, primarily via five mechanisms: antioxidative effects, antiinflammatory effects, regulation of autophagy and apoptosis, maintenance of mitochondrial function, and lipid regulation. Living bacteria therapies have been proposed as an alternative approach to treating a broad array of cancers. In this study, we developed a genetically encoded microbial encapsulation system with tunable and dynamic expression of surface capsular polysaccharides that enhances systemic delivery. Based on a small RNA screen of capsular biosynthesis pathways, we constructed inducible synthetic gene circuits that regulate bacterial encapsulation in Escherichia coli Nissle 1917. These bacteria are capable of temporarily evading immune attack, whereas subsequent loss of encapsulation results in effective clearance in vivo. This dynamic delivery strategy enabled a ten-fold increase in maximum tolerated dose of bacteria and improved anti-tumor efficacy in murine models of cancer. Furthermore, in situ encapsulation increased the fraction of microbial translocation among mouse tumors, leading to efficacy in distal tumors. The programmable encapsulation system promises to enhance the therapeutic utility of living engineered bacteria for cancer. Kinetics and Mechanism of the Interaction and Transaldimination of Products of Condensation of Pyridoxal Hydrochloride with L-α-, D-α-, and β-Alanines was written by Pishchugin, F. V.;Tuleberdiev, I. T.. And the article was included in Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry A in 2021.Recommanded Product: 65-22-5 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

The kinetics and mechanism of the condensation and transaldimination of products of pyridoxal condensation with L-α-, D-α-, and β-alanines are studied via UV spectroscopy and polarimetry. It is found that pyridoxal hydrochloride interacts stereospecifically with L-α- and D-α-alanines, accompanied by the formation of intermediate products with a strictly defined structure that promote the elimination of hydrogen atoms (with L-α-alanine) or CO2 (with D-α-alanine) and the subsequent formation of a quinoid structure whose hydrolysis yields the final products. The reactions of transaldimination between pyridoxalidene-β-alanine, pyridoxalidene-L-α-, pyridoxalidene-D-α-alanines, and L-α- and D-α-alanines are studied. It is shown that transaldimination proceeds in two stages: the addition of L-α- and D-α-amino acids to Schiff bases with the formation of N-acetals of a strictly defined structure, and the cleavage of one of the amino acids with the formation of new Schiff bases. Schemes are proposed for the mechanisms of the studied reactions. A simple and rapid direct anal. in real-time coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (DART-HRMS) methodol. was developed to generate the extractable and non-extractable polyphenols (NEPs) fingerprint for four different passion fruits, G. mangostana, and A. squamosa peels as case-study to investigate the influence of alk. hydrolysis and enzymic-assisted extraction (EAE) on the recovery of NEPs. The extraction residue obtained after these treatments was also analyzed by DART-HRMS. Data compiled from DART-HRMS mass spectra were processed with principal component anal. to discriminate among the different treatments. EAE with Depol enzyme enabled to obtain NEPs with the highest signal intensity in DART-HRMS anal. from all peels except for P. edulis and A. squamosa peels. In these two cases, NEPs were better extracted by EAE with Promod enzyme and alk. hydrolysis. Results showed that the applied treatments were efficient to extract NEPs since their signal intensities in the extraction residues were very low compared with their extracts This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as (2R,2’R,3R,3’R,4R)-2,2′-Bis(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-[4,8′-bichromane]-3,3′,5,5′,7,7′-hexaol (cas: 29106-49-8Electric Literature of C30H26O12).

SARS-CoV-2, a rapidly spreading new strain of human coronavirus, has affected almost all the countries around the world. The lack of specific drugs against SARS-CoV-2 is a significant hurdle towards the successful treatment of COVID-19. Thus, there is an urgent need to boost up research for the development of effective therapeutics against COVID-19. In the current study, we investigated the efficacy of 81 medicinal plant-based bioactive compounds against SARS-CoV-2 Mpro by using various in silico techniques. The interaction affinities of polyphenolic compounds towards SARS-CoV-2 Mpro was assessed via intramol. (by Quantum Mechanic), intermol. (by Mol. Docking), and spatial (by Mol. Dynamic) simulations. Our obtained result demonstrate that Hesperidin, rutin, diosmin, and apiin are most effective compounds agents against SARS-CoV-2 Mpro as compared to Nelfinavir (pos. control). Effects of terpene alcohol dopant on the morphology and electro-optical properties of polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal composite films was written by Huang, Junyi;Hu, Wei;Yu, Meina;Ren, Yunxiao;Zhang, Lanying;Yang, Huai. And the article was included in Polymers for Advanced Technologies in 2021.Application of 106-21-8 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

Terpenes are a large class of hydrocarbon compounds derived from isoprene, which can be produced by plants or emitted by insects. Terpene alcs. contain double bonds that may affect the addition polymerization, and hydroxyl groups that can promote the network crosslinking d. during the formation of polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal (PDLC) composite films. In this work, effects of different terpene alc. dopant on the morphol. and electro-optical properties of PDLC films are systematically investigated. It is found that the appropriate dopant amount of geraniol (GOL) has the superior effect to improve the electro-optical performance. The optimum addition amount is at 3 wt%, where the transmittance vs. voltage curve gets steeper, the driving voltage of PDLC film reduces from 74 to 32 V and meanwhile the contrast ratio maintains at a relatively high level (123). Thus, this work not only broadens the application scope of the natural spices but also provides a new strategy to reduce the driving voltage of PDLC films for practical applications. The stabilization of fats and oils against oxidative lipid deterioration is still a great challenge. The synergistic interaction between phospholipids, L-ascorbate, and tocopherols have not yet been comprehensively understood. The mechanism of the synergistic antioxidant effect of 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (PE) in mixtures with L-ascorbyl palmitate (AP) and α-tocopherol (α-Toc) was investigated in an Et linoleate model and sunflower oil at 110 °C. The mixture of PE, AP, and α-Toc is stabilized through continuous regeneration of α-Toc from its oxidation product α-tocopherylquinone (α-TQ). This reaction is catalyzed by acids and proceeded through the formation of the α-tocopherone ion (T+) as an intermediate product. In addition to the direct reduction of T+ by AP, PE can also cause regeneration indirectly by reacting with dehydroascorbyl palmitate (DHAP) or other tricarbonyl compounds to form amino reductones. PE and AP undergo an amino-carbonyl reaction to form the condensate PE(AP)2. Organic components play a pivotal role in the treatment of trimethylolpropane wastewater; therefore, research aimed at gaining a better understanding of these components can aid in developing potential treatment methods to remove these pollutants. Thus, the use of liquid-liquid extractions coupled with gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry is reported to examine the semivolatile organic components in trimethylolpropane wastewater, while purge-and-trap coupled with flame ionization detection was used to determine the volatile organic components. Several factors which could affect the precision of the anal. method in pretreatment and detection steps were optimized.
