Yuan, Zi-Bo’s team published research in World Journal of Gastroenterology in 2022 | 1492-18-8

World Journal of Gastroenterology published new progress about Cancer antigen 19-9 Role: BSU (Biological Study, Unclassified), BIOL (Biological Study). 1492-18-8 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C20H21CaN7O7, Electric Literature of 1492-18-8.

Yuan, Zi-Bo; Fang, Hong-Bo; Feng, Quan-Kai; Li, Tao; Li, Jie published the artcile< Prognostic factors of recurrent intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma after hepatectomy: A retrospective study>, Electric Literature of 1492-18-8, the main research area is intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma hepatectomy cancer recurrence prognosis chemotherapy; Hepatectomy; Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma; Multimodality therapy; Prognosis; Recurrence.

Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a highly malignant tumor. Hepatectomy is an effective treatment for early ICC, but postoperative recurrence greatly affects patient survival. Studies on recurrent ICC after hepatectomy are lacking. AIM To investigate the clin. characteristics of patients with recurrent ICC after hepatectomy, analyze prognostic factors and explore diagnosis and treatment strategies. A retrospective anal. was performed on all ICC patients undergoing hepatectomy from Jan. 2013 to August 2021. Patients with postoperative recurrence were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Cumulative overall survival was plotted by the Kaplan-Meier method, and differences were assessed by univariate survival anal. using the log-rank test. Multivariate anal. of cumulative survival was performed using the Cox proportional risk model. During the 8-yr study period, 103 patients underwent ICC-related hepatectomy, and 54 exhibited postoperative recurrence. The median disease-free survival (DFS) was 6 mo, the median overall survival (OS) was 9 mo, and the cumulative OS rates at 1, 2 and 3 years after the operation were 40.7%, 14.8% and 7.4%, resp. The median OS after recurrence was 4 mo, and the cumulative OS rates at 1, 2 and 3 years after recurrence were 16.1%, 6.7% and 3.4%, resp. Multivariate anal. showed that alc. consumption [hazard ratio (HR) = 4.64, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.53-14.04, P = 0.007] and DFS < 6 mo (HR = 3.47, 95%CI: 1.59-7.60, P = 0.002) were independent risk factors for the cumulative survival of patients with recurrence, while treatment after recurrence (HR = 0.21, 95%CI: 0.08-0.55, P = 0.001) was an independent protective factor. The median OS time of patients receiving multimodality therapy after recurrence of ICC was 7 mo, which was significantly higher than that of patients receiving only local therapy (3 mo), patients receiving systematic therapy (4 mo) and patients receiving the best supportive therapy (1 mo). Patients with recurrent ICC who received multimodality therapy had a significantly better long-term survival after recurrence than those who did not (P = 0.026). The prognosis of patients with recurrence after ICC-related hepatectomy is poor. Alc. consumption and DFS < 6 mo are independent risk factors in terms of the cumulative survival of patients with recurrence, while treatment after recurrence is an independent protective factor. Multimodality therapy can effectively improve the prognosis of patients. A series of catenanes was synthesized through olefin metathesis from a BMP32C10-based cryptand and paraquat guests attached with two terminal alkenes. Distribution of catenane products could be significantly affected by linkage length on paraquat guests. In presence of BMP32C10-based cryptand, paraquat salt with a long linkage facilitates intramol. olefin metathesis to release a [2]catenane as sole catenation product, while use of a paraquat salt with a shorter linkage led to simultaneous generation of [2]-, [3]-, and [4]-catenanes.

Singh, Kawaljit; Kaur, Gurminder; Shanika, Petrus Siningu; Dziwornu, Godwin Akpeko; Okombo, John; Chibale, Kelly published the artcile< Structure-activity relationship analyses of fusidic acid derivatives highlight crucial role of the C-21 carboxylic acid moiety to its anti-mycobacterial activity>, SDS of cas: 29335-36-2, the main research area is fusidic acid fusidane triterpenoid synthesis SAR tuberculostatic tuberculosis; Anti-mycobacterial activity; Bioisosteres; Cytotoxicity; Fusidic acid.

Fusidic acid (FA) is a potent congener of the fusidane triterpenoid class of antibiotics. Structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies suggest the chem. structure of FA is optimal for its antibacterial activity. SAR studies from our group within the context of a drug repositioning approach in tuberculosis (TB) suggest that, as with its antibacterial activity, the C-21 carboxylic acid group is indispensable for its anti-mycobacterial activity. Further studies have led to the identification of 16-deacetoxy-16β-ethoxyfusidic acid (58), an analog which exhibited comparable activity to FA with an in vitro MIC99 value of 0.8μM. Preliminary SAR studies around the FA scaffold suggested that the hydrophobic side chain at C-20, like the C-11 OH group, was required for activity. The C-3 OH group, however, can be functionalized to obtain more potent compounds

Ottenbacher, Roman V.; Bryliakova, Anna A.; Shashkov, Mikhail V.; Talsi, Evgenii P.; Bryliakov, Konstantin P. published the artcile< To Rebound or...Rebound? Evidence for the ""Alternative Rebound"" Mechanism in C-H Oxidations by the Systems Nonheme Mn Complex/H2O2/Carboxylic Acid>, Reference of 76-84-6, the main research area is oxidation mechanism nonheme manganese complex hydrogen peroxide carboxylic acid.

In this work, it has been shown that aliphatic C-H oxidations by bioinspired catalyst systems Mn aminopyridine complex/H2O2/carboxylic acid in acetonitrile afford predominantly a mixture of the corresponding alc. and the ester. The alc./ester ratio is higher for catalysts bearing electron-donating groups at the aminopyridine core. Isotopic labeling studies witness that the oxygen atom of the alc. originates from the H2O2 mol., while the ester oxygen comes exclusively from the acid. Oxidation of ethylbenzene in the presence of acetic acid affords enantiomerically enriched 1-phenylethanol and 1-Ph acetate, with close enantioselectivities and the same sign of absolute chirality. Exptl. data and d. functional theory calculations provide evidence in favor of the rate-limiting benzylic H atom abstraction by the high-spin (S = 1) [LMnV(O)OAc]2+ active species followed by competitive OH/OC(O)R rebound. This mechanism has been unprecedented for C-H oxidations catalyzed by bioinspired Mn complexes. The trends governing the alc./ester ratios have been rationalized in terms of steric properties of the catalyst, acid, and substrate.

Sandberg-Gertzen, H.; Ryde, M.; Jaernerot, G. published the artcile< Absorption and excretion of azodisal sodium and its metabolites in man after rectal administration of a single 2-g dose>, Safety of Sodium 5,5′-(diazene-1,2-diyl)bis(2-hydroxybenzoate), the main research area is azodisal sodium pharmacokinetics.

The behavior of azodisal sodium (ADS)(I) [6054-98-4] and its metabolites after a single 2-g rectal dose was investigated in 10 healthy volunteers. Blood samples were drawn frequently, and urine was collected during intervals of 24 h. The ADS absorption gave a mean peak serum concentration of 2.1 μg/mL. The urinary excretion of ADS was 0.8% of the given dose. After rectal administration, 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) [89-57-6] could be detected in the serum only in 2 of the subjects, with a mean concentration of <0.5 μg/mL. N-Acetyl-5-aminosalicylic acid  [51-59-2] was present in increasing serum concentrations, being 0.93 μg/mL at 24 h. The mean 24-h urinary excretion of these 2 metabolites was only 2.7% of the given dose. In another study, the azo bond of ADS has been shown to be split by anaerobic and aerobic bacteria. The low absorption of its metabolites indicates that ADS is a suitable mol. for delivering the presumed pharmacol. active moiety, 5-ASA. α-Glycosidase is an essential target for the management of postprandial serum glucose in diabetic patients. Therefore, the interest has been growing in the screening of α-glycosidase inhibitor from natural resource. In the present study, the structure and α-glycosidase inhibitory activity of a polysaccharide (named as ACPP-1) from Aconitum coreanum were investigated. Based on the results from high performance gel permeation chromatog., GC-MS and 1D/2D NMR spectroscopy, ACPP-1 was a highly-linear polysaccharide with a mol. weight of 34.0 kD and containing over 90% of glucose. It was composed of (1→4)-α-D-Glcp and α-Araf. ACPP-1 exhibited a dose-dependent inhibitory effect against α-glycosidase activity in vitro and the IC50 value was ∼0.8 mg/mL. In oral starch tolerance test, treatment with ACPP-1 (800 mg/kg) significantly improved the starch tolerance in mice. Taken together, this study provided a potential intervention and management for postprandial hyperglycemia by the polysaccharide fraction from A. coreanum.
