A review. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer and one of the main causes of cancer death entire the world. Environmental, dietary, and lifestyle factors including red meat consumption, cigarette smoking, alc. intake and family history are the most important risk factors of CRC. Multiple pathways including inflammation, oxidative stress, and apoptosis are involved in its incidence and progression. Resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound, has different pharmacol. functions including anti-inflammation, cancer prevention, lipid-lowering effect, and hypoglycemic effect. Many studies have proved that resveratrol might also represent a chemo preventive effect on CRC. Thus, the aim of the current review is to depict the role of resveratrol in treatment of CRC in a mol. manner.

A review. Obesity is a globally widespread metabolic disorder, characterized by immoderate fat accumulation in the body. There are different types of body fats such as white adipose tissue (WAT), which stores surplus energy in the body, and brown adipose tissue (BAT) which utilize energy to produce heat during metabolism BAT acts many beneficial functions in metabolic disorders including type 2 diabetes and obesity. Recent studies have investigated methods for promoting the fat browning process of WAT in obesity because of various reasons such as the improvement of insulin resistance, and weight loss. Among natural polyphenolic compounds, resveratrol has been highlighted due to its anti-oxidant and anti-obesity as well as anti-inflammation and anti-cancer properties. Recent studies have paid a lot of attention to that resveratrol may act as a fat browning activator, involved in the secretion of many myokines and adipokines. Here, we reviewed the role of resveratrol in fat browning and also the association between resveratrol and adipokines/myokines in the fat browning process. Our review may provide novel insight into the role of resveratrol in fat browning, leading to the maintenance of a healthy weight against obesity.

New Phytologist published new progress about Flower. 87-73-0 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C6H10O8, Electric Literature of 87-73-0.

Jakobs, Ruth; Schweiger, Rabea; Mueller, Caroline published the artcile< Aphid infestation leads to plant part-specific changes in phloem sap chemistry, which may indicate niche construction>, Electric Literature of 87-73-0, the main research area is Tanacetum Macrosiphoniella Uroleucon phloem sap chem metabolomics niche construction; aphid; metabolomics; niche conformance; niche construction; phloem sap chemistry.

Phloem sap quality can differ between and within plants, and affect the performance of aphids. In turn, aphid infestation may change the chem. composition and nutritional value of phloem sap. However, the effects of different aphid species on the overall phloem sap composition of distinct parts within plant individuals in relation to aphid performance remain unclear. To test the specificity of plant responses to aphids, we used two chemotypes of Tanacetum vulgare plants and placed the monophagous aphids Macrosiphoniella tanacetaria and Uroleucon tanaceti on different plant parts (stems close to the inflorescence, young and old leaves). Aphid population growth was determined and sugars, organic acids, amino acids and metabolic fingerprints of phloem exudates were analyzed. Macrosiphoniella tanacetaria performed best on stems, whereas U. tanaceti performed best on old leaves, indicating differences in niche conformance. Aphid infestation led to distinct changes in the phloem exudate composition of distinct metabolite classes, differing particularly between plant parts but less between chemotypes. In summary, plant responses to aphids are highly specific for the chemotype, plant part, metabolite class and aphid species. These changes may indicate that aphids construct their own niche, optimizing the food quality on the plant parts they prefer.

Li, Linhan; Zhou, Ting; Zhong, Linyu; Zhou, Qian; Gu, Gang; Hu, Mengjun; Chen, Fengping; Lin, Sheng published the artcile< Bioremediation of quinclorac injury on tobacco by a rhizosphere bacterium>, Application In Synthesis of 87-73-0, the main research area is rhizosphere bacterium tobacco quinclorac injury bioremediation; Bioremediation; Herbicide; Klebsiella variicola; Plant growth-promoting bacterium; Tobacco.

The presence of herbicides residues in soil represents a serious problem for agriculture. Quinclorac is a common herbicide applied in rice field, but its residue can cause abnormal growth in successive crop of tobacco in Southern China. Remediation by microorganisms is considered to be an environmentally friendly method to remove such pollutants injury. The aims of this study were to obtain quinclorac remediation isolates and to investigate the possible mechanism(s) of remediation. Six bacterial isolates were obtained from rhizosphere of rice-tobacco rotation fields, and were found to be capable of degrading quinclorac on a mineral salt medium (MSM), with degradation efficiency ranging from 2.1 to 23.7%. Among these isolates, J5 had the highest degradation efficiency, and was identified as Klebsiella variicola based on phylogenetic anal. and a metabolic profile generating by Biolog GEN III system. Bioremediation of quinclorac injury was confirmed using pot assays with tobacco, in which J5 reversed the detrimental effect of quinclorac on leaf area, leaf number, and plant height. The J5 isolate also seemed to promote plant growth, in terms of tobacco seedling growth and seed germination, which were 2.2 times and 1.6 times higher compared to untreated control, resp. The mechanisms of plant growth promoting (PGP) traits were found to involve nitrogen-fixing, indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) production, and phosphate solubilization ability. In addition, proteomic anal. and relative quant. PCR revealed an elevated level of 4-hydroxyphenylacetate 3-monooxygenase (HPMO) in quinclorac-treated J5, suggesting that this enzyme may play an important role in quinclorac remediation. This study showed that the J5 isolate could be exploited to not only assist in soil remediation due to quinclorac residue issues but also promote tobacco growth.

There are current trials investigating the effect of resveratrol supplementation on endothelial function and blood pressures among patients with metabolic syndrome (MetS); however, the findings are controversial. This systematic review and meta-anal. of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were carried out to summarize the effects of resveratrol supplementation on endothelial activation and blood pressures among patients with MetS and related disorders. This study searched systematically online databases including: PubMed-Medline, Embase, ISI Web of Science and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials until Oct., 2018. Two independent authors extracted data and assessed the quality of included articles. Data were pooled using the fixed- or random-effects model and considered as standardized mean difference (SMD) with 95% confidence intervals (95% CI). Out of 831 electronic citations, 28 RCTs (with 33 findings reported) were included in the meta-analyses. The findings showed that resveratrol intervention significantly increased flow-mediated dilatation (FMD) levels (SMD 1.77; 95% CI 0.25, 3.29; P = 0.02; I2: 96.5). However, resveratrol supplements did not affect systolic blood pressure (SBP) (SMD – 0.27; 95% CI – 0.57, 0.03; P = 0.07; I2: 88.9) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) (SMD – 0.21; 95% CI – 0.52, 0.11; P = 0.19; I2: 89.8). Resveratrol supplementation significantly increased FMD among patients with MetS and related disorders, but did not affect SBP and DBP. Addnl. prospective studies are needed to investigate the effect of resveratrol supplementation on endothelial function and blood pressures, using higher-dose of resveratrol with longer durations.

Li, Ye; Liang, Jun; Gao, Jia-Ning; Shen, Yu; Kuang, Hai-Xue; Xia, Yong-Gang published the artcile< Novel LC-MS/MS method for complete composition analysis of polysaccharides by aldononitrile acetate and multiple reaction monitoring>, Name: (2S,3R,4S,5R)-2-Amino-3,4,5,6-tetrahydroxyhexanal hydrochloride, the main research area is plant polysaccharide composition liquid chromatog tandem mass spectrometry; Aldononitrile acetate derivatization; LC-MS/MS; Monosaccharide compositions; Polysaccharides.

Carbohydrate anal. has always been a challenging task due to the occurrence of high polarity and multiple isomers. Aldoses are commonly analyzed by gas liquid chromatog. (GLC) following aldononitrile acetate derivatization (AND). However, the GLC technique cannot be applied for the simultaneous determination of aldoses, ketoses, and uronic acids. In this study, a new method based on the combination of liquid chromatog.-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and AND is developed for the complete characterization of monosaccharide composition (i.e., aldoses, ketoses, alditols, amino sugars, and uronic acids) in plant-derived polysaccharides. In addition to discussing the possible byproducts, the study optimizes the multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) parameters and LC conditions. The final separation of 17 carbohydrates is performed on a BEH Shield RP18 column (150 mm x 2.1 mm, 1.7μm) within 25 min, without using any buffer salt. Notably, the complex polysaccharides extracted from Ligusticum chuanxiong, Platycodon grandiflorum, Cyathula officinalis Kuan, Juglans mandshurica Maxim, and Aralia elata (Miq.). Seem bud can be successfully characterized using the developed method. Overall, the results demonstrated that the newly established LC-MS/MS MRM method is more effective and powerful than the GLC-based methods reported previously, and it is more suitable for the anal. of highly complex natural polysaccharides, including complex pectins, fructosans, and glycoproteins.

A series of novel heteroaromatic-difluoro-biphenyl-diarylpyrimidines were designed as non-nucleoside anti-HIV inhibitors targeting reverse transcriptase by a fragment-based replacement strategy with the purpose of improving the druggability. Hopping five- or six-membered heterocycle groups on the biphenyl moiety as bioisosterism for intrinsically cyanophenyl gave 23 derivatives All of these compounds possessed excellent HIV-1 inhibitory activity in the nanomolar range. Among them, 12g (I) with a 4-pyridine group displayed excellent inhibitory activity toward WT and mutant HIV virus possessing significant selectivity. Moreover, this compound exhibited a decent improvement in druggability than etravirine and rilpivirine: (1) The hydrochloric acid salt of 12g (I) exhibited significantly improved water solubility in different pH conditions. (2) 12g (I) did not show apparent CYP enzymic inhibitory activity or acute toxicity. (3) Excellent oral bioavailability was also revealed (F = 126%, rats) in 12g. Collectively, these novel heteroaromatic-biphenyl-DAPYs represent promising drug candidates for HIV clin. therapy.

Fogacci, Federica; Tocci, Giuliano; Presta, Vivianne; Fratter, Andrea; Borghi, Claudio; Cicero, Arrigo F. G. published the artcile< Effect of resveratrol on blood pressure: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized, controlled, clinical trials>, Reference of 501-36-0, the main research area is Resveratrol; blood pressure; meta-analysis; metaregression; type 2 diabetes.

Results of previous clin. trials evaluating the effect of resveratrol supplementation on blood pressure (BP) are controversial. We aimed to assess the impact of resveratrol on BP through systematic review of literature and meta-anal. of available randomized, controlled clin. trials (RCTs). Literature search included SCOPUS, PubMed-Medline, ISI Web of Science and Google Scholar databases up to 17th Oct. 2017 to identify RCTs investigating the impact of resveratrol on BP. Two review authors independently extracted data on study characteristics, methods and outcomes. Overall, the impact of resveratrol on BP was reported in 17 trials. Administration of resveratrol did not significantly affect neither systolic BP [weighted mean difference (WMD): -2.5 95% CI:(-5.5, 0.6) mmHg; p=0.116; I2=62.1%], nor diastolic BP [WMD: -0.5 95% CI:(-2.2, 1.3) mmHg; p=0.613; I2=50.8], nor mean BP [MAP; WMD: -1.3 95% CI:(-2.8, 0.1) mmHg; p=0.070; I2=39.5%] nor pulse pressure [PP; WMD: -0.9 95% CI:(-3.1, 1.4) mmHg; p=0.449; I2=19.2%]. However, significant WMDs were detected in subsets of studies categorized according to high resveratrol daily dosage (≥300 mg/day) and presence of diabetes. Meta-regression anal. revealed a pos. association between systolic BP-lowering resveratrol activity (slope: 1.99; 95% CI: 0.05, 3.93; two-tailed p= 0.04) and Body Mass Index (BMI) at baseline, while no association was detected neither between baseline BMI and MAP-lowering resveratrol activity (slope: 1.35; 95% CI: -0.22, 2.91; two-tailed p= 0.09) nor between baseline BMI and PP-lowering resveratrol activity (slope: 1.03; 95% CI: -1.33, 3.39; two-tailed p= 0.39). Resveratrol was fairly well-tolerated and no serious adverse events occurred among most of the eligible trials. The favorable effect of resveratrol emerging from the current meta-anal. suggests the possible use of this nutraceutical as active compound in order to promote cardiovascular health, mostly when used in high daily dose (≥300 mg/day) and in diabetic patients.

A mechanistic understanding of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) toxicity to plants is essential for future risk assessment of PFOA in agricultural soil. In this study, soil-grown cucumber (Cucumis sativus) was exposed to 0, 0.2, and 5 mg/kg of PFOA for 60 days. At harvest, contaminant accumulation, cucumber biomass, photosynthesis profiles and metabolites were measured. Results showed that PFOA depressed cucumber biomass and accumulated highest in leaves. Photosynthesis anal. revealed that PFOA at both doses reduced the chlorophyll contents and net photosynthesis rate of cucumber leaves. Gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry-based non-targeted metabolomics revealed that PFOA induced metabolic reprogramming in cucumber leaves, including up-regulation of phenols (at 0.2 and 5 mg/kg) and down-regulation of amino acids (at 5 mg/kg), indicating disrupted nitrogen and carbon metabolism Results revealed how PFOA represses plant growth by down-regulating photosynthetic pigments and disturbing the metabolism of carbohydroxides, phenols and amino acids. These findings provide valuable information for understanding the mol. mechanisms involved in plant responses to PFOA-induced stress.
