The genus Flourensia, present throughout most of the Americas has been identified as a source of renewable chems. Here, we characterized the aerial biomass and matrix polysaccharides of Flourensia campestris, F. oolepis and F. riparia, and explored their potential as a source of chems. through the study of two techniques: anal. pyrolysis (PY-GC/MS) and vacuum pyrolysis (VP). In all species, hemicellulose was more abundant than cellulose and lignin, with galacturonic acid being the most abundant monosaccharide. Bio-oils from VP exhibited a complex combination of phenols, terpenes, furans and nitrogen-containing compounds which have a wide range of industrial applications. Differences between the composition of VP pyrolytic oils derived from the mixture of leaves and stems or from individual organs suggest possible interactions between biopolymers. Combining PY-GC/MS and principal component anal. (PCA) we identified fingerprints for leaves and stems of the three Flourensia species. The experimental procedure involved many compounds, such as 2-Hexyl-1-decanol (cas: 2425-77-6) .

4-tert-Octylphenol(cas: 140-66-9) is a common environmental pollutant showing weak estrogenic effects.Recommanded Product: 4-tert-Octylphenol It has been shown to cause harm to vertebrate male reproductive systems.

Wang, Ting;Guo, Zhi-yi;Wang, Jun-yi;Dayo, Abdul Qadeer;Liu, Wen-bin;Wang, Jun published 《Modification of traditional benzoxazine by blending with polyfunctional benzoxazines containing aromatic group and fluorene group》. The research results were published in《High Performance Polymers》 in 2021.Recommanded Product: 4-tert-Octylphenol The article conveys some information:

A series of polyfunctional benzoxazine monomers containing aromatic and fluorene group (AMFB) were used as modified agents to improve the performance of typical bifunctional bisphenol-A-aniline-based (BA-a) benzoxazine resins. The polymerization behaviors of BA-a/AMFB blends were investigated by using the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), while the dynamic mech. anal. (DMA) and thermogravimetric anal. (TGA) were used to analyze the thermomech. and thermal properties of BA-a/AMFB copolymers [poly(BA-a/AMFB)]. Moreover, the cross-section morphologies of poly(BA-a/AMFB) were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The exptl. results showed that BA-a monomer has good catalytic activity for AMFB monomers during the curing process. Compared with BA-a polymer [poly(BA-a)], due to the introduction of heat-resistant fluorene ring and the increase of the crosslinking degree of copolymers, the copolymers showed higher glass transition temperature and better thermal properties./. For poly(BA-a/AMFB), the T5, T10, and Yc were higher than those of poly(BA-a). With the increase of the alkyl chain length of AMFB monomers, the cross-section creases gradually changed from linear to dendritic, and the number of creases increased significantly, which indicated that the toughness of the copolymers was significantly improved. And 4-tert-Octylphenol (cas: 140-66-9) was used in the research process.

Fu, Jiantao;Zhao, Xu;Wang, Lanying;Zhang, Yunfei;Luo, Yanping published 《Antioxidant Activities and Allelopathic Potential of Chonemorpha splendens Chun et Tsiang Stem Methanol Extract》 in 2022. The article was appeared in 《Chemistry & Biodiversity》. They have made some progress in their research.Recommanded Product: 2425-77-6 The article mentions the following:

Finding agriculturally active compounds from nature or finding active lead compounds from natural products, artificial synthesis and structural modification are the main ways to create new agrochem. In order to explore the agricultural activities of Chonemorpha splendens Chun et Tsiang (C. splendens), an important medicinal plant, the antioxidant activities and allelopathic potential were investigated. C. splendens was extracted with methanol, then, C. splendens methanol extract (CSME) were extracted with petroleum ether, chloroform, Et acetate and butanol. Reducing activity, lipid peroxidation, and the scavenging abilities for DPPH·, O2-., HO·, and H2O2 were also measured and allelopathic potentials were evaluated by bioassay method. GC/MS anal. revealed that esters were the main component (66.34 %) of CSME, the total CSME flavonoid content was 313 mg g-1 (rutin equivalent). The chloroform phase of CSME was identified as stigmasterol by NMR for the first time. The DPPH· scavenging rate of CSME was 87 %, with an IC50 value of 0.12±0.02 mg mL-1, which was significantly difference from the pos. control, Trolox. Chloroform fraction showed the strongest inhibitory effect against Mimosa pudica (MP) seed germination at 1.0 mg mL-1 (100 % inhibition), which was better than that of the chem. herbicide paraquat. In the seed growth experiment, systematic EC50 and the principal component anal. (PCA) were used to assess the allelopathic potential of extracts The systematic EC50 values of Crotalaria pallida Ait. (CP), Bidens pilosa L. (BP) were significantly greater than MP. MP, Oryza sativa L. (OS) and Lactuca satiua L., (LS) inhibited all parameters. Our results would provide an idea for controlling weeds through allelopathy from C. splendens to reduce dependency on synthetic herbicides. The research results were published in《ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering》 in 2017.Quality Control of rel-(1R,2S)-1,2-Diphenylethane-1,2-diol The article conveys some information:

A novel catalyst, EcoMnOx, was prepared from waste biomass of Mn-hyperaccumulating plants. The valorization of this Mn-rich biomass is an alternative to its costly usual disposing and provides a new source of Mn. Extracted metal ions, including Mn2+, were oxidized in mild conditions by H2O2/NaOH to afford EcoMnOx, as a polymetallic oxide material containing from 8.9 to 14.1 wt % Mn. Spectroscopic studies of this material revealed the presence of Mn layered mixed oxides, rich in MnIV along with MnIII and MnII species. EcoMnOx catalytic properties were assessed in the aerobic oxidative cleavage of 1,2-diols, under atm. pressure of O2 or air. With only 10 mol % Mn, up to complete conversions were obtained on activated benzylic and allylic diols, with excellent selectivity toward aldehydes or ketones (98-99%). Moreover, because of its heterogeneous nature, the catalyst can be removed easily by filtration, and reapplied for a min. of six successive runs without any loss of activity. Finally, E-factor anal. showed the EcoMnOx generates 4 to 17 times less waste compared to classical reagents such as NaIO4 and Pb(OAc)4, resp., highlighting the sustainable assets of this new heterogeneous catalyst. And rel-(1R,2S)-1,2-Diphenylethane-1,2-diol (cas: 579-43-1) was used in the research process.

The article was appeared in 《Environmental Science & Technology Letters》. They have made some progress in their research.Electric Literature of C14H22O The article mentions the following:

The prevalently used LC-MS/MS methods for the simultaneous determination of synthetic phenol antioxidants (SPAs) and relevant metabolites suffer from a serious drawback of low sensitivity for 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxytoluene (BHT) and a common issue of background contamination, which hampers the simple and accurate detection of these substances at trace levels in environmental samples. In this study, we developed an improved LC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous determination of eight SPAs and four relevant metabolites, including BHT. By use of atm. pressure chem. ionization (APCI), the sensitivity of BHT in the LC-MS/MS was enhanced approx. 260 times vs. results obtained by using electrospray ionization (ESI), which allowed the anal. of BHT up to 1.1 ng/g in indoor dust and 0.06 ng/g in human plasma. Similarly, the sensitivity of 2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol and 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-sec-butylphenol was also enhanced with APCI, which avoided their sep. anal. by GC-MS. By installation of a C18 column after the eluent mixer and before the injector as a trap column, the target analytes leached out from the LC system were eluted at a much later retention time than those in the samples, which resulted in complete elimination of the instrumental background contamination. These improvements enable the method to be well applied to the real samples. The experimental procedure involved many compounds, such as 4-tert-Octylphenol (cas: 140-66-9) .

The authors were De Silva, Enosha Harshani;Novak, Bruce M., and the article was included in《Liquid Crystals》. The author mentioned the following in the article:

Carbodiimide polymers are synthetic helical polymers that display unique properties depending on the functional groups attached to the polymer backbone. The amidine groups of the backbone present alternating amine- and imine-like groups. The properties of the polycarbodiimides have been studied by varying the sidechains of the polymer from linear to branched. In previous work, different arenes and straight aliphatic chains substituted polycarbodiimides have been used to evaluate the thermal and liquid crystalline properties of these polymers. In this study, we introduced bulky branched aliphatic and octadecyl side chains to the polymer backbone to generate a branched homopolymer and different branched/linear-chain copolymers. The effect of these side-chain combinations on the solid and solution properties of these polycarbodiimides was studied. It was observed that polycarbodiimides containing octadecyl and branched bulky alkyl groups showed different thermal events in the DSC plot at ∼30°C. Also, we observed a decrease in thermal stability in the TGA thermogram as we increase the branched alkyl side chains of the polymers. The lyotropic liquid crystallinity was observed in all the branched copolymers that consist of both branched alkyl side chains and octadecyl functional groups in different ratios. And 2-Hexyl-1-decanol (cas: 2425-77-6) was used in the research process.

Today I want to share an article with you. The article is 《Analysis of Vapor Pressures Using Family Variations: A Case Study of Hexadecanol Isomers》,you can find this article in 《Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research》. The following contents are mentioned:

Vapor pressure is one of the most important properties needed when designing chem. processes. Exptl. data are preferred; however, predictive methods must be used when data are not available. Even when exptl. data are available, they are often sparse, and the quality needs to be evaluated. In this work, we have used the isomers of hexadecanol (C16H34O) for a vapor-pressure case study, and a database of 33 isomers has been collected. All the isomers are saturated alcs., and the variation in vapor pressure arises from the placement of the alc. (-OH) group and the extent of branching. The recently published modified Trouton method has been used to analyze and evaluate the available data, and a reliable set of b.ps. at the representative vapor pressure of 2 kPa has been developed for the 33 compounds in the study; further, the uncertainty in the 2 kPa b.ps. has been estimated The database used was evaluated to gain insight into the trends of the vapor pressures. Next, three representative approaches were used to test the ability of estimation methods to predict and correlate the data: (1) the Nannoolal group-contribution method; (2) the COSMO-RS quantum-chem. method; and (3) an empirical method based upon structural factors. The study has revealed the nature and extent of vapor-pressure variation with this family of isomers and the ability of existing estimation methods to provide reliable and accurate correlations. The database developed here may also be helpful for related studies, for example, the use of mol. simulation to predict the vapor pressures.2-Hexyl-1-decanol (cas: 2425-77-6) were involved in the experimental procedure.

A wide-ranging study of imidazolium-based polymeric ionic liquids (PILs) as absorbents in two-phase partitioning bioreactor applications is presented, with a particular focus on the removal of n-butanol from dilute aqueous solutions The study begins with a description of the synthesis and phase transition temperatures of poly(1-vinyl-3-alkylimidazolium) bromides bearing alkyl groups of different lengths, architecture, and composition, as well as analogs bearing various inorganic and carboxylate anions. Knowledge of polymer structure is used to generate insight into the solute affinity of each PIL, as quantified by the measurements of n-butanol partition coefficient (PCBuOH) and n-butanol/water selectivity (αb/w). These equilibrium experiments are extended to create a complete P[(VC12-linIm)(Br)]/n-BuOH/water ternary phase diagram that is used to propose a streamlined n-butanol recovery process.
