《Chemodivergent transformations of amides using gem-diborylalkanes as pro-nucleophilesã€?was published in Nature Communications in 2020. These research results belong to Sun, Wei; Wang, Lu; Hu, Yue; Wu, Xudong; Xia, Chungu; Liu, Chao. Formula: C13H26B2O4 The article mentions the following:

A chemodivergent transformation of primary, secondary and tertiary amides by using 1,1-diborylalkanes as pro-nucleophiles was disclosed. In general, selective B-O elimination occurred for primary, secondary amides and tertiary lactams to generated enamine intermediate, while tertiary amides undergo B-N elimination to generated enolate intermediate. Various in-situ electrophilic trapping of those intermediates allowed the chemoselective synthesis of α-functionalized ketones, β-aminoketones, enamides, β-ketoamides, γ-aminoketones and cyclic amines from primary, secondary, tertiary amides and lactams. The key for these transformations was the enolization effect after the addition of α-boryl carbanion to amides. The experimental process involved the reaction of Bis[(pinacolato)boryl]methane(cas: 78782-17-9Formula: C13H26B2O4)

A general catalytic anti-hydroarylation of electron-deficient internal alkynes compatible with both electron-poor and electron-rich aryl reagents is reported. This selectivity is achieved through a sequential syn-carbopalladation of the alkyne by an Ar-Pd species, followed by a tandem, Ir-photocatalyzed, counter-thermodn. E Z isomerization. 《Synthesis of azetidines via visible-light-mediated intermolecular [2+2] photocycloadditionsã€?was published in Nature Chemistry in 2020. These research results belong to Becker, Marc R.; Wearing, Emily R.; Schindler, Corinna S.. Electric Literature of C6H12O The article mentions the following:

Intermol. [2+2] photocycloadditions represent a powerful method for the synthesis of highly strained, four-membered rings. Although this approach is commonly employed for the synthesis of oxetanes and cyclobutanes, the synthesis of azetidines via intermol. aza Paterno-́Buchi reactions remains highly underdeveloped. Here the authors report a visible-light-mediated intermol. aza Paterno-́Buchi reaction that uses the unique triplet state reactivity of oximes, specifically 2-isoxazoline-3-carboxylates. The reactivity of this class of oximes can be harnessed via the triplet energy transfer from a com. available iridium photocatalyst and allows for [2+2] cycloaddition with a wide range of alkenes. This approach was characterized by its operational simplicity, mild conditions and broad scope, and allows for the synthesis of highly functionalized azetidines from readily available precursors. Importantly, the accessible azetidine products can be readily converted into free, unprotected azetidines, which represents a new approach to access these highly desirable synthetic targets. 《Tuning the solubility parameters of carbon nanotubes by means of their adducts with Janus pyrrole compoundsã€?was published in Nanomaterials in 2020. These research results belong to Locatelli, Daniele; Barbera, Vincenzina; Brambilla, Luigi; Castiglioni, Chiara; Sironi, Annalisa; Galimberti, Maurizio. Formula: C3H9NO2 The article mentions the following:

The solubility parameters of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was tuned via their chem. modification with pyrrole compounds (PyCs), by means of a simple and sustainable methodol. PyCs were synthesized with high atom efficiency through the Paal-Knorr reaction of primary amines with 2,5-hexanedione, in the absence of solvents and catalysts. Methylamine, 1-dodecylamine, 2-amino-1,3-propanediol, and 3-(triethoxysilyl)propan-1-amine were selected. PyCs are characterized by two moieties, the pyrrole ring and the substituent of the nitrogen atom, and can be considered as Janus mols. The functionalization of CNTs occurred with a high yield by simply heating CNTs and PyC. The whole reaction pathway did not produce any waste and was characterized by a carbon efficiency up to almost 100%. Thanks to the variety of PyC chem. structures, the CNT solubility parameter was modified in a pretty broad range of values, in the expected direction. Stable CNT dispersions were prepared in different solvents. From the aqueous dispersion, coating layers were prepared with high elec. conductivity, larger with respect to a top com. product. The “”pyrrole methodol.”” reported here is based on one reaction and allows almost infinite variations of the CNT solubility parameter, thus promoting their compatibility with target matrixes and allowing the preparation of nanocomposite materials with improved properties. This work thus paves the way for a highly efficient exploitation of CNTs. In the experimental materials used by the author, we found 2-Aminopropane-1,3-diol(cas: 534-03-2Formula: C3H9NO2)

Organic electrode materials play a crucial role in environmentally friendly and sustainable lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to their abundance, high theor. capacity, inexpensiveness, and recyclability. However, critical issues such as fewer redox-active sites and poor structural stability limit their extensive application in LIBs. Herein, a unique covalent organic framework (Tp-Azo-COF) with a dual active site of N=N and C=O is designed and successfully applied as the anode material for LIBs. Benefiting from its abundance of active sites, large conjugate structure, large surface area, and accessible Li+ transport channels, the Tp-Azo-COF anode materials present high electrochem. kinetics and structural stability. The assembled LIBs deliver a specific capability of 305.97 mAh g-1 at a c.d. of 1000 mA g-1 after 3000 cycles. The preparation of subnanoporous covalent-organic-framework (COF) membranes with high performance for ion/mol. sieving still remains a great challenge. In addition to the difficulties in fabricating large-area COF membranes, the main reason is that the pore size of 2D COFs is much larger than that of most gas mols. and/or ions. It is urgently required to further narrow their pore sizes to meet different separation demands. Herein, we report a simple and scalable way to grow large-area, pliable, free-standing COF membranes via a one-step route at organic-organic interface. The pore sizes of the membranes can be adjusted from >1 nm to sub-nm scale by changing the stacking mode of COF layers from AA to AB stacking. The obtained AB stacking COF membrane composed of highly-ordered nanoflakes is demonstrated to have narrow aperture (∼0.6 nm), uniform pore distribution and shows good potential in organic solvent nanofiltration, water treatment and gas separation After reading the article, we found that the author used 2,4,6-Trihydroxybenzene-1,3,5-tricarbaldehyde(cas: 34374-88-4Recommanded Product: 34374-88-4)

《Table-salt enabled interface-confined synthesis of covalent organic framework (COF) nanosheets》 was published in Chemical Science in 2020. These research results belong to Shi, Xiansong; Ma, Dongwei; Xu, Fang; Zhang, Zhe; Wang, Yong. Category: alcohols-buliding-blocks The article mentions the following:

Two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are gaining tremendous interest for their potential applications in a diversity of fields. However, synthesis of COF nanosheets (CONs) usually suffers from tedious exfoliation processes and low yields. Herein, we present an exfoliation-free and scalable strategy to prepare few-layered CONs based on interface-confined synthesis, in which cheap and recyclable table salt (NaCl) is used as the sacrificial substrate. Salt particles are introduced into the reaction system, creating billions of solid-liquid interfaces. Oligomers formed upon the reaction between monomers are immediately adsorbed on salt surfaces, and the following polymerization leading to crystalline CONs is exclusively confined to salt surfaces. Salts can be easily removed by water washing, producing CONs with the thickness down to a few nanometers and lateral sizes up to hundreds of micrometers depending on the size of salt particles and the concentration of monomers. Four different kinds of CONs, both imine-linked and boron-containing, are synthesized from this generic method. As a demonstration, we prepare highly permeable and selective membranes using resultant CONs as building blocks. Thanks to the defect-free stacking of CONs with thin thicknesses and large lateral sizes on porous substrates, the membranes precisely sep. similarly sized dyes while allowing ultrafast water permeation. This work is an attempt to develop bio-based eco-friendly poly(benzoxazine-co-urethane) [poly(U-co-CDL-aee)] materials using cardanol-based benzoxazines (CDL) and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI) to check their self-healing ability and thermal properties. CDL monomers were synthesized using cardanol, amino ethoxyethanol (aee) or 3-aminopropanol (3-ap), and paraformaldehyde through the Mannich reaction. Later, CDL-aee or CDL-3-ap monomers were copolymerized with a urethane precursor (HMDI), followed by ring-opening polymerization through thermal curing. The thermal properties of poly(U-co-CDL) were evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric anal. (TGA). The self-healing behavior of the bio-based poly(U-co-CDL) was checked by applying a mild external pressure. The results revealed that the developed poly(U-co-CDL) showed repeatable self-healing ability due to supramol. hydrogen-bonding interactions.
