Kanno, Tetsuya;Umeda, Yasushi;Honma, Hideo;Takai, Osamu;Tashiro, Katsuhiko research published 《 Effects of electroless NiSnP plating bath composition with high Sn containing deposited film》, the research content is summarized as follows. Many studies have investigated Ni-Sn alloy because it has good luster and excellent corrosion resistance. Electroplating methods have already reached a practical level of applicability, but electroless plating methods have not reached such a degree of utility because they present difficulties such as insufficient film thickness and low Sn content in the deposited film. Therefore, we fixed the bath temperature and stirring under the operating conditions and studied details of the plating bath composition to deposit a film with a high Sn content of 50 wt% or more using electroless plating. Results confirmed that the Sn contents in the deposited films differed depending on the complexing agent concentration, metal ratio, bath pH, and especially the metal source. Citric acid and sodium gluconate were suitable as complexing agents for each metal source. In the plating bath using Ni (OH)2 as the Ni metal source, high contents of Sn were co-deposited stably. Moreover, Sn4+ was more suitable than Sn2+ as the Sn metal source. Because Sn4+ formed stable complex ions, the plating bath was stabilized. A film with high Sn content was deposited. Therefore, films with 50 wt% or more Sn contents were obtained even when using electroless plating.

72824-04-5, Allylboronic acid pinacol ester is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C9H17BO2 and its molecular weight is 168.04 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.
Allylboronic acid pinacol ester is an allylation reagent that is used to produce aldehydes from ketones. It reacts with water, yielding the desired product and formaldehyde as a byproduct. The reaction proceeds through a sequence of steps, in which the boronate ester first reacts with water to form an allylboronate ion and hydrogen gas. This intermediate then reacts with potassium t-butoxide to produce the desired allyl alcohol and potassium borohydride. Finally, the palladium complex catalyst reduces the carbonyl group of the starting material, converting it into an aldehyde. Allylboronic acid pinacol ester is commercially available as a white solid, but can also be synthesized from 2-chloro-5-pinacolylborane (pinacol) in high yield using catalytic cross coupling reactions., Formula: C9H17BO2

In general, the hydroxyl group makes alcohols polar. Those groups can form hydrogen bonds to one another and to most other compounds. 72824-04-5, formula is C9H17BO2, Owing to the presence of the polar OH alcohols are more water-soluble than simple hydrocarbons. Methanol, ethanol, and propanol are miscible in water. Butanol, with a four-carbon chain, is moderately soluble. Formula: C9H17BO2

Kanazawa, Tomoaki;Nishikawa, Tsuyoshi;Ouchi, Makoto research published 《 Orthogonal C-B Bond Transformation as an Approach for Versatile Synthesis of End-Functionalized Polymers》, the research content is summarized as follows. Conventionally inaccessible end-functionalized vinyl polymers were synthesized via orthogonal side-chain replacement for terminal and repeating units of poly(alkenyl boronate)s. A terminal-defined polymer of isopropenyl boronic acid pinacol ester (IPBpin) was synthesized via RAFT polymerization, and subsequent cobalt (Co)-catalyzed end olefination afforded the polymer carrying the C(sp2)-B bond at the terminal and the C(sp3)-B bond in repeating units. Herein, the terminal C(sp2)-B bond was selectively transformable via palladium (Pd)-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling, and subsequent transformation of the repeating C(sp3)-B unit gave the poly(α-Me vinyl alc.) [poly(MVA)] bearing various functional groups at the terminal. The boron-based stepwise polymer reaction thus overcame the synthetic difficulty of the end-functionalized poly(MVA), which is ascribed to the poor polymerization ability of the corresponding acetate monomer, i.e., isopropenyl acetate.

Kallemeijn, Wouter W.;Lanyon-Hogg, Thomas;Panyain, Nattawadee;Goya Grocin, Andrea;Ciepla, Paulina;Morales-Sanfrutos, Julia;Tate, Edward W. research published 《 Proteome-wide analysis of protein lipidation using chemical probes: in-gel fluorescence visualization, identification and quantification of N-myristoylation, N- and S-acylation, O-cholesterylation, S-farnesylation and S-geranylgeranylation》, the research content is summarized as follows. Protein lipidation is one of the most widespread post-translational modifications (PTMs) found in nature, regulating protein function, structure and subcellular localization. Lipid transferases and their substrate proteins are also attracting increasing interest as drug targets because of their dysregulation in many disease states. However, the inherent hydrophobicity and potential dynamic nature of lipid modifications makes them notoriously challenging to detect by many anal. methods. Chem. proteomics provides a powerful approach to identify and quantify these diverse protein modifications by combining bespoke chem. tools for lipidated protein enrichment with quant. mass spectrometry-based proteomics. Here, we report a robust and proteome-wide approach for the exploration of five major classes of protein lipidation in living cells, through the use of specific chem. probes for each lipid PTM. In-cell labeling of lipidated proteins is achieved by the metabolic incorporation of a lipid probe that mimics the specific natural lipid, concomitantly wielding an alkyne as a bio-orthogonal labeling tag. After incorporation, the chem. tagged proteins can be coupled to multifunctional capture reagents by using click chem., allowing in-gel fluorescence visualization or enrichment via affinity handles for quant. chem. proteomics based on label-free quantification (LFQ) or tandem mass-tag (TMT) approaches. In this protocol, we describe the application of lipid probes for N-myristoylation, N- and S-acylation, O-cholesterylation, S-farnesylation and S-geranylgeranylation in multiple cell lines to illustrate both the workflow and data obtained in these experiments We provide detailed workflows for method optimization, sample preparation for chem. proteomics and data processing. A properly trained researcher (e.g., technician, graduate student or postdoc) can complete all steps from optimizing metabolic labeling to data processing within 3 wk. This protocol enables sensitive and quant. anal. of lipidated proteins at a proteome-wide scale at native expression levels, which is critical to understanding the role of lipid PTMs in health and disease.

Our previous report on pharmacokinetic (PK) evaluation of 6:2 fluorotelomer alc. (6:2 FTOH) examined the biopersistence potential of its metabolites based on data published from single inhalation and occupational 6:2 FTOH exposure studies. We calculated internal exposure estimates of three key metabolites of 6:2 FTOH, of which 5:3 fluorotelomer carboxylic acid (5:3 acid) had the highest internal exposure and the slowest clearance. No oral repeated 6:2 FTOH exposure data were available at the time to fully characterize the biopersistence potential of the metabolite 5:3 acid. We recently received addnl. data on 6:2 FTOH and 5:3 acid, which included a 90-day toxicokinetic study report on repeated oral 6:2 FTOH exposure to rats. We reviewed the study and analyzed the reported 5:3 acid concentrations in plasma, liver, and fat using one-compartment PK modeling and calculated elimination rate constants (kel), elimination half-lives (t1/2) and times to steady state (tss) of 5:3 acid at three 6:2 FTOH doses. Our results showed that tss of 5:3 acid in plasma and evaluated tissues were approx. close to 1 yr, such that the majority of highest values were observed at the lowest 6:2 FTOH dose, indicating its association with the biopersistence of 6:2 FTOH. The results of our PK anal. are the first to characterize biopersistence potential of the 5:3 acid after repeated oral exposure to the parent compound 6:2 FTOH based on steady state PK parameters, and therefore, may have an impact on future study designs when conducting toxicity assays for such compounds

A vermicompost carrier based single, dual and multiple bio-inoculant formulation was developed and tested for the survival of individual strains, showed a maximum population of 1 × 106 cells g-1 after 90 days of storage at 28 ± 2 °C invariably in all formulations. The inoculums′ efficiency on Kalmegh under greenhouse conditions resulted in boosted growth with the maximum plant height (95.8 cm) in Cohnella sp. application, followed by consortium of all strains recorded 91.5 cm. Flower initiation occurred sooner in plants inoculated with bacterial consortium of all as well in Cohnella sp. alone, consecutively resulted in highest Andrographolide content of 3.06% and 3.50%, resp. Maximum fresh weight herbage yield of 39.5% and 27.5% (dry weight) was recorded in plants treated with bacterial consortium (Cohnella sp, C. taklimakanense, L. soli and P. glycanilyticus) over non-inoculated control as well the available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content. Germination of seed experiment revealed the synergism of bacterial isolates in consortium for promoting plant growth. Further, the quanta of inoculums is reduced by 25 percent in composite inoculation, in turn reduces the fertilizers expenditure and persist until the harvesting stage of the crop with the need to apply once.

Fluorotelomer precursors in soil constitute a reservoir for perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) in the environment. In the present study, precursor degradation and transfer rates of seven fluorotelomer precursors and F-53B (chlorinated polyfluoroalkyl ether sulfonates) were investigated in pot experiments with maize plants (Zea mays L.). The degradation of fluorotelomer precursors to perfluoroalkyl carboxylic acids (PFCAs) and their uptake spectra corresponded to those of fluorotelomer alc. (FTOH) in terms of the number of perfluorinated carbon atoms. Short-chain PFCAs were translocated into the shoots (in descending order perfluoropentanoic, perfluorobutanoic, and perfluorohexanoic acid), whereas long-chain PFCAs mainly remained in the soil. In particular, fluorotelomer phosphate diesters (diPAPs) were retained in the soil and showed highest degradation potential including evidence of α-oxidative processes. F-53B did not degrade to PFAAs and its constituents were mainly detected in the roots with minor uptake into the shoots. The results demonstrate the important role of precursors as an entry pathway for PFCAs into the food chain.

Simple alcohols are found widely in nature. Ethanol is the most prominent because it is the product of fermentation, a major energy-producing pathway. 24034-73-9, formula is C20H34O, Other simple alcohols, chiefly fusel alcohols, are formed in only trace amounts. More complex alcohols however are pervasive, as manifested in sugars, some amino acids, and fatty acids. , Recommanded Product: (2E,6E,10E)-3,7,11,15-Tetramethylhexadeca-2,6,10,14-tetraen-1-ol

Juarez, Dennis;Fruman, David A. research published 《 Targeting the Mevalonate Pathway in Cancer》, the research content is summarized as follows. A review. The mevalonate synthesis inhibitors, statins, are mainstay therapeutics for cholesterol management and cardiovascular health. Thirty years of research have uncovered supportive roles for the mevalonate pathway in numerous cellular processes that support oncogenesis, most recently macropinocytosis. Central to the diverse mechanisms of statin sensitivity is an acquired dependence on one mevalonate pathway output, protein geranylgeranylation. New chem. prenylation probes and the discovery of a novel geranylgeranyl transferase hold promise to deepen our understanding of statin mechanisms of action. Further, insights into statin selection and the counterproductive role of dietary geranylgeraniol highlight how we should assess statins in the clinic. Lastly, rational combination strategies preview how statins will enter the oncol. toolbox.

527-07-1, Sodium Gluconate is the sodium salt of gluconic acid with chelating property. Sodium gluconate chelates and forms stable complexes with various ions, preventing them from engaging in chemical reactions.
Sodium gluconate is an organic sodium salt having D-gluconate as the counterion. It has a role as a chelator. It contains a D-gluconate.
D-Gluconic acid sodium salt is a glycol ether that is used as an injection solution. It has been shown to have antibacterial efficacy against wild-type strains of bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. The in vitro antimicrobial action of D-gluconic acid sodium salt was found to be due to its ability to inhibit bacterial growth by interfering with the synthesis of DNA. D-gluconic acid sodium salt also has been shown to have antihypertensive effects in rats through the inhibition of angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1) signaling pathway and erythrocyte proliferation. This drug also has been shown to bind benzalkonium chloride and x-ray diffraction data show that it is crystalline in nature. The analytical method for determining the concentration of D-gluconic acid sodium salt is by electrochemical impedance, Recommanded Product: Sodium Gluconate

Joyce, Jessica C.;Collins, Marcus L.;Rota, Paul A.;Prausnitz, Mark R. research published 《 Thermostability of Measles and Rubella Vaccines in a Microneedle Patch》, the research content is summarized as follows. Measles and rubella vaccinations are highly effective at reducing disease prevalence; however, logistic issues related to s.c. administration and vaccine wastage limit the extent of vaccination coverage. Microneedle (MN) patches can increase coverage by easing logistics through simplified administration and improved stability. This study demonstrates the thermostability of a bivalent measles and rubella vaccine MN patch. The data show that rubella vaccine stability requires pH buffering during drying; potassium phosphate buffer at neutral pH is optimal for both vaccines. Screening 43 excipients for their ability to retain potency during drying and storage yields sucrose-threonine-potassium phosphate buffer formulation at pH 7.5 as an optimal formulation. MN patches made with this formulation have no significant loss of vaccine titer after 1 mo and remain within a one log10 titer loss cutoff after 3-4 mo at 5, 25, and 40°C. Finally, these patches are shown to be immunogenic in juvenile rhesus macaques. This work demonstrates the potential for MN patches for measles and rubella vaccination to be removed from the cold chain, which is expected to decrease vaccine cost and wastage, and increase vaccination coverage.

Johny, Lidiya C.;Suresh, P. V. research published 《 Complete genome sequencing and strain characterization of a novel marine Bacillus velezensis FTL7 with a potential broad inhibitory spectrum against foodborne pathogens》, the research content is summarized as follows. Bacillus velezensis FTL7 which exhibited potent antimicrobial peptide producing capacity was isolated from a marine sediment sample of the West Coast region, South India, and characterized through exptl. and genomic anal. approaches. FTL7 showed potential antimicrobial activity against a broad range of foodborne pathogenic bacteria like Listeria monocytogenes Scott A, Bacillus cereus (ATCC 11778), Salmonella Typhimurium (MTCC 1251), Staphylococcusaureus (ATCC 25923), and Escherichiacoli (MTCC 443). It also exhibited strong inhibitory activity against Kocuriarhyzophila (ATCC 934) and Bacillussubtilis subsp. spizizenii (ATCC 6633). Phylogenetic anal. by 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that Bacillusvelezensis FTL7 was closely related to B.velezensis LBUM288 (GenBank accession number MG461457) with 100% identity. Whole-genome sequencing of the strain FTL7 was carried out using Illumina sequencing technol. to get a better insight into the mechanisms of controlling pathogens by FTL7. The strain FTL7 has a chromosome size of 3849,077 bp with a GC content of 46.56%. The genome consists of 3635 coding sequences, 64 RNA, 59 tRNAs, 5 ncRNAs, and 69 pseudogenes. The presence of genes responsible for the synthesis of non-ribosomal peptides and bacteriocins was identified through genome annotation. Thus, many Bacillus strains, including B. velezensis, have been demonstrated as excellent producers of antimicrobial substances.
