Li, Jia;Wu, Shimin;Yu, Qinyan;Wang, Jinjin;Deng, Yuliang;Hua, Jinjie;Zhou, Qinghua;Yuan, Haibo;Jiang, Yongwen research published 《 Chemical profile of a novel ripened Pu-erh tea and its metabolic conversion during pile fermentation》, the research content is summarized as follows. Ripened Pu-erh tea is a unique tea type produced from microbial fermentation Recently, a novel ripened Pu-erh tea (NPT) produced using a patented pile fermentation method has become increasingly popular due to its improved flavor and enriched bioactive gallic acid (GA). However, the detailed chem. features of NPT and their formation during pile fermentation remain unclear. Herein, untargeted metabolomics revealed enrichment of GA, amino acids, free sugars and reduction in catechins and flavonol glycosides in NPT. Mainly, GA was 1.99 times higher in NPT than traditional Pu-erh tea (p < 0.001). The metabolic changes were tracked during pile fermentation, and possible pathways were mapped. GA enrichment may be produced from enhanced hydrolysis of galloyl catechins and phenolic acid esters. Degradation of flavonol glycosides and formation of other metabolites were observed This study will advance our understanding of conversions during pile fermentation and provide new insights into directional manufacturing of high-quality ripened tea.

24034-73-9, Geranylgeraniol is a diterpenoid that is hexadeca-2,6,10,14-tetraene substituted by methyl groups at positions 3, 7, 11 and 15 and a hydroxy group at position 1. It has a role as a plant metabolite, a volatile oil component and an antileishmanial agent. It is a diterpenoid and a polyprenol.

Geranylgeraniol, a precursor to geranylgeranylpyrophosphate, is an intermediate in the mevalonate pathway. Geranylgeraniol has been shown to prevent bone re-absorption, inhibition of osteoclast formation, and kinase activation in vitro. When working with statins, Geranylgeraniol can reduce the toxicity without inhibiting the cholesterol-producing effects. Geranylgeraniol has been documented to counteract the effects of fluvastatin by inhibiting activation of caspase-1 and production of IL-1. Li, Feng-Xing;Ren, Shu-Jian;Li, Pei-Fang;Yang, Peng;Qu, Jin research published 《 An Endo-Selective Epoxide-Opening Cascade for the Fast Assembly of the Polycyclic Core Structure of Marine Ladder Polyethers》, the research content is summarized as follows. The rapid synthesis of marine ladder polyethers from polyepoxide precursors (in analogy with the biosynthetic pathway hypothesized by Nakanishi) is hampered by the fact that the exo-selective epoxide-opening cyclization cascade that gives THF-type polyethers is preferred over the endo-selective cascade that gives the desired products. We found that perfluoro-tert-butanol (PFTB) cooperating with 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([EMIM]BF4) can promote endo-selective epoxide-opening cyclization reactions of trisubstituted epoxy alcs. Starting from readily accessible homochiral polyepoxy alcs. with a Me group at all the endo-cyclization sites, we were able to construct polyethers up to five consecutive fused 6-, 7-, and/or 8-membered rings in one step. Notably, mols. with the 7/7/6/6 and 7/7/6/7/6 polyether frameworks of hemibrevetoxin B and brevenal, resp., could be synthesized in 40% and 17% chem. yields.

Lei, Chunxiao;Li, Zichao;Gao, Qi;Fu, Rongqiang;Wang, Wei;Li, Qun;Liu, Zhaoming research published 《 Comparative study on the production of gluconic acid by electrodialysis and bipolar membrane electrodialysis: Effects of cell configurations》, the research content is summarized as follows. To produce gluconic acid from Na gluconate, three types of cell configurations of bipolar membrane electrodialysis (BMED) and two types of cell configurations of electrodialysis (ED) were applied and the factors such as the current variation, conversion rate, current efficiency and energy consumption were compared. The BMED2C-C cell configuration (two-chamber BMED with cation exchange membrane) had the better overall performance than the BMED2C-A configuration (two-chamber BMED with anion exchange membrane) and the BMED3C configuration (three-chamber BMED), and the ED3C configuration (three-chamber ED) had the better overall performance than ED4C configuration (four-chamber ED). An industrial production model was set, and the production cost of gluconic acid is 0.25 US$/kg for BMED2C-C and 0.067 $/kg for ED3C, resp. Taking account of the calculated value for NaOH, the cost of BMED2C-C will be 0.104 $/kg, which was less than the one of traditional production Though ED3C has the lowest production cost, it produces the byproduct Na sulfate which needs to be handled further.

Legnani, Luca;Prina-Cerai, Gabriele;Delcaillau, Tristan;Willems, Suzanne;Morandi, Bill research published 《 Efficient access to unprotected primary amines by iron-catalyzed aminochlorination of alkenes》, the research content is summarized as follows. Primary amines are essential constituents of biol. active mols. and versatile intermediates in the synthesis of drugs and agrochems. However, their preparation from easily accessible alkenes remains challenging. Here, the authors report a general strategy to access primary amines from alkenes through an operationally simple iron-catalyzed aminochlorination reaction. A stable hydroxylamine derivative and benign sodium chloride act as the resp. nitrogen and chlorine sources. The reaction proceeds at room temperature under air; tolerates a large scope of aliphatic and conjugated alkenes, including densely functionalized substrates; and provides excellent anti-Markovnikov regioselectivity with respect to the amino group. The reactivity of the 2-chloroalkylamine products, an understudied class of amphoteric mols., enables facile access to linear or branched aliphatic amines, aziridines, aminonitriles, azido amines, and homoallylic amines.

Lee, Yeshin;Jung, Hye-In;Jang, Yeon-Im;An, Byeong-Kwan research published 《 Ecofriendly Multifunctional Monodisperse Spherical Polymer Colloids from Hyperbranched Poly(p-phenyl ester) Phenol》, the research content is summarized as follows. Multifunctional, monodisperse, and hyperbranched poly(p-Ph ester) phenol (HPPEP) colloids are prepared using com. available inexpensive monomers (i.e., terephthaloyl chloride (A2) and phloroglucinol (B3)) via a simple condensation polymerization reaction (A2 + B3) at room temperature Because of their sym., rigid, highly branched, and cross-linked structure and the presence of the terminal phenolic units, the formation of highly monodisperse HPPEP colloids (coefficient of variation < 1.6%) can be realized under trimethylamine base conditions without any emulsifier (or surfactants) and expensive catalyst. Owing to their rigid aromatic and cross-linked structure, the HPPEP colloids exhibit excellent thermal, chem., and mech. resistances. Furthermore, the phenolic surface groups of HPPEP colloids enable the generation of highly neg. surface charges (-60 mV) and catalytic protons (0.26 mmol H+/g) while enhancing surface functionality by chem. binding to red, green, and blue fluorescent dye mols. Through carbonization, HPPEP colloids can be directly transformed into monodisperse porous carbon spheres with a large surface area (as,BET = 644.99 m2 g-1). Moreover, the HPPEP colloids can fully decompose into environmentally benign monomers after being exposed to an alkali environment.

The synthetic utility of the reaction was demonstrated by a new amine synthesis promoted by chemoselective allylation of imine and synthesis of isoquinoline.

72824-04-5, Allylboronic acid pinacol ester is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C9H17BO2 and its molecular weight is 168.04 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.
Allylboronic acid pinacol ester is an allylation reagent that is used to produce aldehydes from ketones. It reacts with water, yielding the desired product and formaldehyde as a byproduct. The reaction proceeds through a sequence of steps, in which the boronate ester first reacts with water to form an allylboronate ion and hydrogen gas. This intermediate then reacts with potassium t-butoxide to produce the desired allyl alcohol and potassium borohydride. Finally, the palladium complex catalyst reduces the carbonyl group of the starting material, converting it into an aldehyde. Allylboronic acid pinacol ester is commercially available as a white solid, but can also be synthesized from 2-chloro-5-pinacolylborane (pinacol) in high yield using catalytic cross coupling reactions., Safety of 2-Allyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane

Sodium gluconate is an organic sodium salt having D-gluconate as the counterion. It has a role as a chelator. It contains a D-gluconate.
D-Gluconic acid sodium salt is a glycol ether that is used as an injection solution. It has been shown to have antibacterial efficacy against wild-type strains of bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. The in vitro antimicrobial action of D-gluconic acid sodium salt was found to be due to its ability to inhibit bacterial growth by interfering with the synthesis of DNA. D-gluconic acid sodium salt also has been shown to have antihypertensive effects in rats through the inhibition of angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1) signaling pathway and erythrocyte proliferation. This drug also has been shown to bind benzalkonium chloride and x-ray diffraction data show that it is crystalline in nature. The analytical method for determining the concentration of D-gluconic acid sodium salt is by electrochemical impedance, 527-07-1.

Le, Van Thuan;Doan, Van Dat;Tran, Vy Anh;Le, Hoang Sinh;Tran, Dai Lam;Pham, Thanh Minh;Tran, Thi Huong;Nguyen, Hoai Thuong research published 《 Cu/Fe3O4@carboxylate-rich carbon composite: One-pot synthesis, characterization, adsorption and photo-Fenton catalytic activities》, the research content is summarized as follows. A novel Cu/Fe3O4 nanocomposite supported on carboxylate-rich carbon (Cu/Fe3O4@CRC) was successfully synthesized and characterized. The prepared composite was applied as an adsorbent and photo-Fenton-like catalyst for removal of methylene blue (MB). The results indicate that Cu/Fe3O4@CRC exhibited the highest adsorption and catalytic activities toward MB at the Fe/Cu molar ratio of 1:1 and 1:0.5, resp. The adsorption process was thermodynamically spontaneous, endothermic, and followed well pseudo-first-order kinetic and the Freundlich isotherm models. The maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 240.27 mg g-1 at pH 7, the contact time of 40 min and temperature of 25°C. The photo-Fenton degradation efficiency achieved 97.5% under visible light irradiation for 40 min at optimal conditions of MB concentration of 40 mg L-1, catalyst dosage of 0.2 g L-1, pH 6.0, and H2O2 concentration of 4 mmol L-1. Besides, Cu/Fe3O4@CRC displayed a high removal efficiency and stability after five reaction cycles.
