And the article contained the following:

Due to the persistence of ionic liquids (ILs) in aquatic environments, it is necessary to reveal their ecol. risk to aquatic organisms. Herein, the biotoxicity of two alkyl-methylimidazolium nitrate ILs ([C10mim]NO3 and [C12mim]NO3) against Scenedesmus obliquus were studied. The results showed that the growth inhibition of S. obliquus increased with increasing concentrations of ILs, maximum values of 94.61% at 4 mg/L of [C10mim]NO3 and 97.34% at 0.8 mg/L of [C12min]NO3 were observed The fluorescence parameters of photosystem II, such as light quantum yield and electron transfer rate, showed a neg. relationship with the exposure dose. [C12mim]NO3 had a more significant effect than [C10mim]NO3. Moreover, the redox homeostasis of algae was disrupted; the accumulation of reactive oxygen species, leading to obvious inhibition of superoxide dismutase and catalase activities was observed A metabolomic anal. indicated that the contents of most metabolites were reduced significantly, and fructose and galactose decreased significantly by 42.3% and 88.6%, resp., in the [C10mim]NO3 treatment compared to those in the control. The inhibition of amino acid biosynthesis and glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism explained the more serious biotoxicity of [C12mim]NO3 than that of [C10mim]NO3. This study facilitates a better understanding of the environmental safety and ecol. risks of ILs. The experimental process involved the reaction of 2,3-Dihydroxypropanoic acid(cas: 473-81-4).Product Details of 473-81-4

And the article contained the following:

Aluminum chloride-based antiperspirants are an effective topical therapeutic option for mild to moderate states of excessive perspiration. Its use is primarily limited by the occurrence of skin irritation, especially in sensitive skin types. The objective of this study was to compare the antiperspirant efficacy and tolerability of a novel antiperspirant with 12.5% aluminum lactate, and a 12.5% aluminum chloride-based antiperspirant. This cohort study was conducted as a two-sided self-assessment comparison between both preparations in healthy volunteers to generate selfcare-related data. Almost half of the participants stated that aluminum chloride was more efficacious than aluminum lactate; 22% stated aluminum lactate was more efficacious than aluminum chloride; 28% observed no difference in the efficacy of both preparations (p = 0.04). However, 88% described greater tolerability with aluminum lactate (p < 0.0001). In this study, aluminum lactate showed significantly greater tolerability than aluminum chloride, although the latter tended to show slightly greater efficacy. The experimental process involved the reaction of Pentane-1,5-diol(cas: 111-29-5).Electric Literature of 111-29-5

On January 31, 2021, Jiang, Qian; Liu, He; Zhang, Yan; Cui, Min-hua; Fu, Bo; Liu, Hong-bo published an article.Name: 2,4-Di-tert-butylphenol The title of the article was Insight into sludge anaerobic digestion with granular activated carbon addition: Methanogenic acceleration and methane reduction relief. And the article contained the following:

In this study, the multiple effects of granular activated carbon (GAC) on sludge anaerobic digestion at ambient (16-24°C), mesophilic (35°C) and thermophilic (55°C) temperature were investigated. After GAC addition, although the methane yields of raw sludge were reduced by 6.5%-36.9%, the lag phases of methanogenesis were shortened by 19.3%-30.6% and the reductions of methane yields were declined to only 5.9%-8.1% simultaneously for pretreated sludge. The inhibitory substances like phenols that generated by thermal pretreatment were reduced after GAC addition, which were demonstrated to be responsible for the methanogenic acceleration. Meanwhile, the methane reduction due to the non-selective adsorption by GAC could be mitigated by pretreatment and elevated temperature Thus, a strategy coupling thermal pretreatment with detoxification by GAC was proposed to improve the methane production rate and avoid the neg. effects during sludge anaerobic digestion with GAC addition The experimental process involved the reaction of 2,4-Di-tert-butylphenol(cas: 96-76-4).Name: 2,4-Di-tert-butylphenol

W.; Podmore, Helen; Micklefield, Jason; Goodacre, Royston; Medema, Marnix H.; Mueller, Ulrike; Bovenberg, Roel; Janssen, Dick B.; Takano, Eriko published an article.Application In Synthesis of H-Phg(4-OH)-OH The title of the article was Functional Exchangeability of Oxidase and Dehydrogenase Reactions in the Biosynthesis of Hydroxyphenylglycine, a Nonribosomal Peptide Building Block. And the article contained the following:

A key problem in the engineering of pathways for the production of pharmaceutical compounds is the limited diversity of biosynthetic enzymes, which restricts the attainability of suitable traits such as less harmful byproducts, enhanced expression features, or different cofactor requirements. A promising synthetic biol. approach is to redesign the biosynthetic pathway by replacing the native enzymes by heterologous proteins from unrelated pathways. In this study, we applied this method to effectively re-engineer the biosynthesis of hydroxyphenylglycine (HPG), a building block for the calcium-dependent antibiotic of Streptomyces coelicolor, a nonribosomal peptide. A key step in HPG biosynthesis is the conversion of 4-hydroxymandelate to 4-hydroxyphenylglyoxylate, catalyzed by hydroxymandelate oxidase (HmO), with concomitant generation of H2O2. The same reaction can also be catalyzed by O2-independent mandelate dehydrogenase (MdlB), which is a catabolic enzyme involved in bacterial mandelate utilization. In this work, we engineered alternative HPG biosynthetic pathways by replacing the native HmO in S. coelicolor by both heterologous oxidases and MdlB dehydrogenases from various sources and confirmed the restoration of calcium-dependent antibiotic biosynthesis by biol. and UHPLC-MS anal. The alternative enzymes were isolated and kinetically characterized, confirming their divergent substrate specificities and catalytic mechanisms. These results demonstrate that heterologous enzymes with different physiol. contexts can be used in a Streptomyces host to provide an expanded library of enzymic reactions for a synthetic biol. approach. This study thus broadens the options for the engineering of antibiotic production by using enzymes with different catalytic and structural features. The Article related to thioether containing lenalidomide preparation antitumor human sar, pomalidomide thioether containing preparation antitumor human sar, late-stage sulfuration, lenalidomide, mm.1s, multiple myeloma and other aspects.Name: 1-Decanethiol

On January 1, 2021, Wang, Yuhong; Mi, Tian; Li, Yiming; Kan, Weijuan; Xu, Gaoya; Li, Jingya; Zhou, Yubo; Li, Jia; Jiang, Xuefeng published an article.Name: 1-Decanethiol The title of the article was Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of thioether-containing lenalidomide and pomalidomide derivatives with anti-multiple myeloma activity. And the article contained the following:

In this work, the designed lenalidomides I [R = Et, Ph, 2-naphthyl, etc.; X = S, Se] and pomalidomides II [R1 = Et, pentyl, hexyl, 4-MeC6H4, 6-chloro-2-pyridyl; Y = S, Se] were synthesized and evaluated. The anti-proliferative activity against MM.1S cell line of compound I [R = 4-FC6H4, X = S] (IC50 = 79 nM) was similar to lenalidomide (IC50 = 81 nM). Compared to compound I [R = 4-F3CC6H4CH2], the half-live (T1/2) of compound I [R = 4-FC6H4, X = S] in human liver microsomes was promoted from 3 min to 416.7 min. The corresponding metabolic factor of compound I [R = 4-FC6H4, X = S] was increased from 2.8% to 79.5%, which was slightly lower than lenalidomide (91.5%). Moreover, the IKZF1 degradation of compounds I [R = 2-MeOC6H4, 4-FC6H4, X = S] was well related with corresponding IC50 values, which suggested the IKZF1 degradation efficiency was correlated to the responses of MM1.S cells. Furthermore, the oral administration of compounds I [R = 2-MeOC6H4, 4-FC6H4, X = S] at dosages of 60 mg/kg could delay tumor growth in female CB-17 SCID mice. This research helped to prompt the stability of thioether lenalidomide analogs, which paved the way for developing better mols. for treating multiple myeloma. On July 31, 2022, Kim, Sooah; Hwang, Jiwon; Kim, Jungyeon; Lee, Sun-Hee; Cheong, Yu Eun; Lee, Seulkee; Kim, Kyoung Heon; Cha, Hoon-Suk published an article.Name: 2,3-Dihydroxypropanoic acid The title of the article was Metabolic discrimination of synovial fluid between rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis using gas chromatography/time-of-flight mass spectrometry. And the article contained the following:

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis (OA) are clinicopathol. different. We aimed to assess the feasibility of metabolomics in differentiating the metabolite profiles of synovial fluid between RA and OA using gas chromatog./time-of-flight mass spectrometry. We first compared the global metabolomic changes in the synovial fluid of 19 patients with RA and OA. Partial least squares-discriminant, hierarchical clustering, and univariate analyses were performed to distinguish metabolites of RA and OA. These findings were then validated using synovial fluid samples from another set of 15 patients with RA and OA. We identified 121 metabolites in the synovial fluid of the first 19 samples. The score plot of PLS-DA showed a clear separation between RA and OA. Twenty-eight crucial metabolites, including hypoxanthine, xanthine, adenosine, citrulline, histidine, and tryptophan, were identified to be capable of distinguishing RA metabolism from that of OA; these were found to be associated with purine and amino acid metabolism Our results demonstrated that metabolite profiling of synovial fluid could clearly discriminate between RA and OA, suggesting that metabolomics may be a feasible tool to assist in the diagnosis and advance the comprehension of pathol. processes for diseases. And the article contained the following:

Two novel substituted subphthalocyanines have been prepared introducing m-hydroxybenzoic acid and m-hydroxyphenylacetic acid into the axial position of bromo-subphthalocyanine. The compounds have been characterized by Fourier transform IR (FT-IR), NMR (NMR) and single-crystal X-rays diffraction (XRD) methods. Their photophys. properties show that the axial substitution results into a relatively higher fluorescence quantum efficiency (FF = 5.74 for m-hydroxybenzoic acid and 9.09% for m-hydroxyphenylacetic acid) in comparison with that of the prototype compound, despite the almost negligible influence on the maximum absorption or the emission position. Moreover, the electrochem. behaviors show that the axial-substituted subphthalocyanines also exhibit enhanced specific capacitances of 395 F/g (m-hydroxybenzoic acid) and 362 F/g (m-hydroxyphenylacetic acid) compared with 342 F/g (the prototype) to the largest capacitance at the scan rate of 5 mV/s, and the significantly larger capacitance retentions of 83.6% and 82.1% vs. 37.3% upon d. up to 3 A/g. These results show the potential of these axial-substituted subphthalocyanines in the use as organic photovoltaics and supercapacitors. Lee, Ji-Youn; Seo, Sumin; Shin, Bohyun; Hong, Se Hee; Kwon, Eunjin; Park, Sunwha; Hur, Young Min; Lee, Dong-Kyu; Kim, Young Ju; Han, Sang Beom published an article in 2022, the title of the article was Development of a New Biomarker Model for Predicting Preterm Birth in Cervicovaginal Fluid.Name: 2,3-Dihydroxypropanoic acid And the article contains the following content:

Preterm birth (PTB) is a social problem that adversely affects not only the survival rate of the fetus, but also the premature babies and families, so there is an urgent need to find accurate biomarkers. We noted that among causes, eubiosis of the vaginal microbial community to dysbiosis leads to changes in metabolite composition In this study, short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) representing dysbiosis were derivatized using (N-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-N-methyltrifluoroacetamide, MTBSTFA) and targeted anal. was conducted in extracted organic phases of cervicovaginal fluid (CVF). In residual aqueous CVF, polar metabolites produced biochem. process were derivatized using methoxyamine and N,O-bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide (BSTFA), and non-targeted anal. were conducted. Nine SCFAs were quantified, and 58 polar metabolites were detected in 90 clin. samples using gas chromatog./mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The criteria of statistical anal. and detection rate of clin. sample for development of PTB biomarkers were presented, and 19 biomarkers were selected based on it, consisting of 1 SCFA, 2 organic acids, 4 amine compounds, and 12 amino acids. In addition, the model was evaluated as a suitable indicator for predicting PTB without distinction between sample collection time. We hope that the developed biomarkers based on microbiota-derived metabolites could provide useful diagnostic biomarkers for actual patients and pre-pregnancy. And the article contained the following:

Beyond probiotics, the interest in the application of postbiotics to various fields has been growing. We aimed to develop a novel postbiotic complex (PC) with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Through antibacterial activity testing against Staphylococcus aureus or Cutibacterium acnes, a PC [a mixture of cell-free supernatants (postbiotics) from probiotic Lactobacillus helveticus (HY7801) and Lactococcus lactis (HY449)] was developed. Anti-inflammatory activity of the PC was investigated using HaCaT keratinocytes treated with S. aureus or C. acnes. PC significantly decreased IL-8 levels and increased hyaluronic acid levels in HaCaT cells cultured with S. aureus or C. acnes. GC-MS based metabolic profiling suggested 2-hydroxyisocaproic acid, hypoxanthine, succinic acid, ornithine, and γ-aminobutyric acid as potential contributing metabolites for the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects of PC. The PC developed in this study could be utilized in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products as an alternative or complementary resources of probiotics. And the article contained the following:

Iso-Pr 3-deoxy-α-D-ribo-hexopyranoside (iso-Pr 3-deoxy-α-D-glucopyranoside), C9H18O5, (I), crystallizes from a methanol-Et acetate solvent mixture at room temperature in a 4C1 chair conformation that is slightly distorted towards the C5SC1 twist-boat form. A comparison of the structural parameters in (I), Me α-D-glucopyranoside, (II), α-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-D-glucitol (maltitol), (III), and 3-deoxy-α-D-ribo-hexopyranose (3-deoxy-α-D-glucopyranose), (IV), shows that most endocyclic and exocyclic bond lengths, valence bond angles and torsion angles in the aldohexopyranosyl rings are more affected by anomeric configuration, aglycon structure and/or the conformation of exocyclic substituents, such as hydroxymethyl groups, than by monodeoxygenation at C3. The structural effects observed in the crystal structures of (I)-(IV) were confirmed though d. functional theory (DFT) calculations in computed structures (I)c-(IV)c. Exocyclic hydroxymethyl groups adopt the gauche-gauche (gg) conformation (H5 anti to O6) in (I) and (III), and the gauche-trans (gt) conformation (C4 anti to O6) in (II) and (IV). The O-glycoside linkage conformations in (I) and (III) resemble those observed in disaccharides containing β-(1→4) linkages.
