Kleinpeter, Erich;Krueger, Stefanie;Koch, Andreas research published 《 Anisotropy Effect of Three-Membered Rings in 1H NMR Spectra: Quantification by TSNMRS and Assignment of the Stereochemistry》, the research content is summarized as follows. The spatial magnetic properties (through space NMR shieldings, TSNMRSs) of cyclopropane; of the heteroanalogous oxirane, thiirane, and aziridine; and of various substituted mono-, dis-, and tris-cyclic analogs were computed by the GIAO perturbation method employing the nucleus independent chem. shift (NICS) concept and visualized as iso-chem.-shielding surfaces (ICSSs) of various size and direction. The TSNMRS values, thus obtained, can be employed to visualize the anisotropy (ring current) effect of the cyclopropane ring moiety. This approach was employed to qualify and quantify substituent influences and contributions of appropriate ring heteroatoms O, NH, and S on the anisotropy (ring current) effect of three-membered ring moieties, and to assign the stereochem. of mono-, bis-, and tris-cyclic structures containing cyclopropane as a structural element. Characteristic examples are included.

Johnson, Kerr;Castro-Marin, Pablo;Farrell, Carl;Davidson, Ian A.;Fu, Qiang;Jasion, Gregory T.;Wheeler, Natalie V.;Poletti, Francesco;Richardson, David J.;Reid, Derryck T. research published 《 Hollow-core fiber delivery of broadband mid-infrared light for remote spectroscopy》, the research content is summarized as follows. High-resolution multi-species spectroscopy is achieved by delivering broadband 3-4-μm mid-IR light through a 4.5-m-long silica-based hollow-core optical fiber. Absorptions from H37Cl, H35Cl, H2O and CH4 present in the gas within the fiber core are observed, and the corresponding gas concentrations are obtained to 5-ppb precision using a highresoln. Fourier-transform spectrometer and a full-spectrum multi-species fitting algorithm. We show that by fully fitting the narrow absorption features of these light mols. their contributions can be nulled, enabling further spectroscopy of C3H6O and C3H8O contained in a Herriott cell after the fiber. As a demonstration of the potential to extend fiber-delivered broadband mid-IR spectroscopy to significant distances, we present a high-resolution characterization of the transmission of a 63-m length of hollow-core fiber, fully fitting the input and output spectra to obtain the intra-fiber gas concentrations We show that, despite the fiber not having been purged, useful spectroscopic windows are still preserved which have the potential to enable hydrocarbon spectroscopy at the distal end of fibers with lengths of tens or even hundreds of meters.

Jeyakumar, D.;Chirsteen, J.;Doble, Mukesh research published 《 Synergistic effects of pretreatment and blending on fungi mediated biodegradation of polypropylenes》, the research content is summarized as follows. Environmental issues raise concern on restrict the use of nondegradable polymers and encourage the development of degradable once. This study is carried out was to understand the rate of biodegradation of untreated and pretreated (100 °C or UV for 10 days) polypropylene (PP), pro-oxidant blended (MI-PP) and starch blended polypropylenes (ST-PP) with two different fungal strains, Phanerochaete chrysosporium NCIM 1170 (F1) and Engyodontium album MTP091 (F2). About 18.8% and 9.42% gravimetric weight loss and 79% and 57% TGA weight loss (at 400 °C) were observed with UV pretreated MI-PP in 1 yr with F2 and F1 strains resp. The amount of lacasse produced by the organism and biomass attached on the polymer surface are correlated with TGA weight loss (0.6-0.93). The formation of extractable oxygenated compounds and unoxidized low-mol. weight hydrocarbons are high in pretreated and blended samples. These results indicate blending and pretreatment strategy leads to an optimal waste-disposal strategy.

Hong, Xianfang;Guo, Jingcheng;Liu, Jinhua;Cao, Wei;Wei, Chenlong;Zhang, Ye;Zhang, Xiaoxiang;Fu, Zhenqian research published 《 Organocatalytic dynamic kinetic resolution of N-arylindole lactams: Atroposelective construction of axially chiral amino acids bearing a C-N chiral axis》, the research content is summarized as follows. Organocatalytic dynamic kinetic resolution of configurationally labile cyclic mols. represents one of the most efficient methods for the atroposelective construction of axially chiral mols. bearing a tetra-ortho-substituted chiral axis. Notably, this privileged strategy is limited to constructing a C-C chiral axis. Herin, organocatalytic dynamic kinetic resolution of configurationally labile N-arylindole lactams has been successfully achieved for the first time, allowing for access to a structurally diverse set of axially chiral N-arylindole amino esters with a tetra-ortho-substituted C-N chiral axis in excellent yields and atroposelectivities. In addition to the N-arylindole skeleton, N-aryl thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole, furo[3,2-b]pyrrole, and pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine skeletons are also compatible with this transformation. This transition-metal-free facile strategy features a broad substrate scope, mild reaction conditions, easy scale-up and excellent atom economy. Several potentially valuable mols., such as axially chiral peptides, were efficiently generated from the resulting configurationally stable axially-chiral N-arylindole amino esters, demonstrating the power of this strategy.

Hu, Qiang;Zhang, Jun;Chen, Peng;Wang, Bing research published 《 Compound identification via deep classification model for electron-ionization mass spectrometry》, the research content is summarized as follows. Compound identification in electron-ionization mass spectrometry (EI-MS) is usually achieved by matching the query mass spectrum to the well-collected reference spectral library. Although various similarity methods have been developed in recent years, it is still difficult to distinguish some similar mass spectra, especially for isomers. In this work, a deep learning based on classification model is proposed to improve the final compound identification. The replicate library of NIST05 is used as query data and main library is used as reference database. Through a simple library searching algorithm, a data set consisting of paired similar mass spectra is created. Based on the data set, two optimal deep classification models (model-1 and model-2) are trained to determine whether the query and candidate spectrum are same compound To validate the proposed method, a series experiments are conducted by using the created classification model to aid random projection for compound identification. The exptl. results show that the model-1 and model-2’s identification accuracy of Rank 1 are increased by 1.5% and 7.7% resp. Contrasting three state-of-are similarity measure, the proposed classification model achieves the best identification performance.

Huang, Mingming;Hu, Jiefeng;Krummenacher, Ivo;Friedrich, Alexandra;Braunschweig, Holger;Westcott, Stephen A.;Radius, Udo;Marder, Todd B. research published 《 Base-Mediated Radical Borylation of Alkyl Sulfones》, the research content is summarized as follows. A practical and direct method was developed for the production of versatile alkyl boronate esters via transition metal-free borylation of primary and secondary alkyl sulfones. The key to the success of the strategy is the use of bis(neopentyl glycolato) diboron (B2neop2), with a stoichiometric amount of base as a promoter. The practicality and industrial potential of this protocol are highlighted by its wide functional group tolerance, the late-stage modification of complex compounds, no need for further transesterification, and operational simplicity. Radical clock, radical trap experiments, and EPR studies were conducted which show that the borylation process involves radical intermediates.

Cyclopropanol is a cyclic organic compound that is synthesized from sodium hydroxide solution, nitrogen atoms, and carbonyl groups. Cyclopropanol has shown inhibitory effects on inflammatory bowel disease in rats. This drug also inhibits the production of hydrogen chloride and hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which can lead to ulcers. Cyclopropanol has been found to be effective against bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. This drug has been shown to have strong antioxidant properties, which may be due to its ability to reduce hydroxyl radicals., Electric Literature of 16545-68-9
