International Journal of Biological Macromolecules published new progress about Antidiabetic agents. 3458-28-4 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C6H12O6, Electric Literature of 3458-28-4.

Xiao, Heng; Chen, Chun; Li, Chao; Huang, Qiang; Fu, Xiong published the artcile< Physicochemical characterization, antioxidant and hypoglycemic activities of selenized polysaccharides from Sargassum pallidum>, Electric Literature of 3458-28-4, the main research area is Sargassum selenium polysaccharide physicochem antioxidant hypoglycemic; Antioxidant; Hypoglycemic; Polysaccharide; Selenylation; Structure.

This study was carried out to study the effects of selenylation on physicochem. and biol. properties of polysaccharide (SPP) extracted from Sargassum pallidum. The selenized derivative of SPP (Se-SPP) with the selenium content of 2419 μg/g was synthesized by sodium selenite/dilute nitric acid method. Physicochem. characterization indicated that selenylation modification resulted in some changes in chem. composition, monosaccharide composition, mol. weight and surface morphol. of polysaccharides. FT-IR spectroscopy showed that a new absorption peak appeared at 675 cm-1 in Se-SPP probably due to the substitution of selenyl groups. Bioactivity assay showed that Se-SPP exhibited higher scavenging radical activities and ferrous ion chelating activities than native SPP. Compared with SPP and acarbose, Se-SPP showed more significantly inhibitory effect on α-glucosidase activity in a noncompetitive inhibition type. The IC50 values of SPP, Se-SPP and acarbose were determined as 1.579, 0.896 and 2.742 mg/mL, resp. These results suggest that Se-SPP can be used to develop a new selenium-complementary ingredient in functional foods.

Bains, Amreen K.; Singh, Vikramjeet; Adhikari, Debashis published the artcile< Homogeneous Nickel-Catalyzed Sustainable Synthesis of Quinoline and Quinoxaline under Aerobic Conditions>, Related Products of 403-41-8, the main research area is amine alc nickel catalyst dehydrogenative coupling green; quinoline preparation; quinoxaline preparation.

Dehydrogenative coupling-based reactions have emerged as an efficient route toward the synthesis of a plethora of heterocyclic rings. Herein, we report an efficacious, nickel-catalyzed synthesis of two important heterocycles such as quinoline and quinoxaline. The catalyst is molecularly defined, is phosphine-free, and can operate at a mild reaction temperature of 80°C. Both the heterocycles can be easily assembled via double dehydrogenative coupling, starting from 2-aminobenzyl alc./1-phenylethanol and diamine/diol, resp., in a shorter span of reaction time. This environmentally benign synthetic protocol employing an inexpensive catalyst can rival many other transition-metal systems that have been developed for the fabrication of two putative heterocycles. Mechanistically, the dehydrogenation of secondary alc. follows clean pseudo-first-order kinetics and exhibits a sizable kinetic isotope effect. Intriguingly, this catalyst provides an example of storing the trapped hydrogen in the ligand backbone, avoiding metal-hydride formation. Easy regeneration of the oxidized form of the catalyst under aerobic/O2 oxidation makes this protocol eco-friendly and easy to handle.

Macromolecular Rapid Communications published new progress about Depolymerization. 627-27-0 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C4H8O, COA of Formula: C4H8O.

Jones, Brad H.; Staiger, Chad; Powers, Jackson; Herman, Jeremy A.; Roman-Kustas, Jessica published the artcile< Selectively Depolymerizable Polyurethanes from Unsaturated Polyols Cleavable by Olefin Metathesis>, COA of Formula: C4H8O, the main research area is selectively depolymerizable polyurethane unsaturated polyol cleavable olefin metathesis; cycloalkenes; depolymerization; olefin metathesis; polyurethanes; ring-closing metathesis.

This communication describes a novel series of linear and crosslinked polyurethanes (PUs) and their selective depolymerization under mild conditions. Two unique polyols are synthesized bearing unsaturated units in a configuration designed to favor ring-closing metathesis (RCM) to five- and six-membered cycloalkenes. These polyols are co-polymerized with toluene diisocyanate to generate linear PUs and trifunctional hexamethylene- and diphenylmethane-based isocyanates to generate crosslinked PUs. The polyol design is such that the RCM reaction cleaves the backbone of the polymer chain. Upon exposure to dilute solutions of Grubbs’ catalyst under ambient conditions, the PUs are rapidly depolymerized to low mol. weight, soluble products bearing vinyl and cycloalkene functionalities. These functionalities enable further re-polymerization by traditional strategies for polymerization of double bonds. It is anticipated that this general approach can be expanded to develop a range of chem. recyclable condensation polymers that are readily depolymerized by orthogonal metathesis chem.

In this current study we report the implementation of Mn(IV) grafted multipyridine linked melanine functionalized SBA-15/CCPy/Mn(OAc)2 as a novel high surface area nanocatalyst. The melamine linked multipyridine ligand was introduced over mesoporous SBA-15 to ensure the strong chelation of Mn(OAc)2 in order to deploy as active site. The structural features of the so designed material were properly analyzed with SEM, TEM, EDX, ICP-AES and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm techniques. Catalytic behavior of the nanocomposite was investigated in the chemoselective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides using H2O2 as a mild oxidant under solvent-free conditions at room temperature resulting very good yields. The catalyst was reused up to 8 consecutive cycles without significant leaching and reduced catalytic performance.

Kundu, Bidyut Kumar; Das, Mriganka; Ganguly, Rakesh; Bhobe, Preeti A.; Mukhopadhyay, Suman published the artcile< Role of zeolite encapsulated Cu(II) complexes in electron transfer as well as peroxy radical intermediates formation during oxidation of thioanisole>, Name: 2-(Phenylthio)ethanol, the main research area is copper complex encapsulated zeolite sulfoxidation catalyst; electron transfer copper complex encapsulated zeolite sulfoxidation catalyst; peroxy radical copper complex encapsulated zeolite sulfoxidation catalyst.

Zeolite encapsulated host-guest complexes [CuL(NO3)@Y], and [CuL2@Y] (where, HL is 1-[(3-dimethylamino-2,2-dimethyl-propylimino)-methyl]-naphthalen-2-ol, I) have been synthesized and characterized by XRD, FTIR, Raman, TEM, XPS, UV-DRS, BET, EXAFS, and EPR spectroscopy. These complexes were used as heterogeneous catalysts for the oxidation of thioanisole, di-Ph sulfide, and 2-phenylthioanisole to produce sulfoxides analogs. H2O2 shows superior conversion efficiency and product selectivity over other common oxidants, viz tert-Bu hydroperoxide (TBHP), urea hydrogen peroxide (UHP) and di-tert-Bu hydroperoxide (DTBP). Formation of thermally stable copper hydroperoxo intermediate, which is to be believed as rate determining step in past few years, has been well proven. Besides that, for the first time, we have established that the oxidation process is not only going through by the generation of Cu(II)-OOH species but there is a considerable role of electron transfer (ET) mechanism also. Further, better TON value and recyclability make the encapsuled heterogeneous complexes more useful than that of homogeneous analogs.

In this study, in order to evaluate the influences of drying methods on the chem. structures and bioactivities of polysaccharides from okra (OPPs), four drying methods, including microwave drying at 400 W, 600 W, and 800 W, freezing drying, hot air drying, and vacuum drying, were applied to dry okra fruits. Six different OPPs were extracted from okra dried by different drying methods. Results showed that physicochem. characteristics and bioactivities of OPPs varied by different drying methods. Noticeable variations in extraction yields, mol. weights, rheol. properties, molar ratios of constituent monosaccharides, contents of uronic acids, degrees of esterification, and contents of total phenolics were observed in OPPs obtained by different drying methods. In addition, results showed that OPPs, especially OPP-H and OPP-V obtained by hot air drying and vacuum drying, resp., exhibited remarkable antioxidant activities (ABTS, DPPH, and nitric oxide radical scavenging activities, and ferric reducing antioxidant powers), strong in vitro binding capacities (fat, cholesterol, and bile acids binding capacities), and obvious inhibitory activities on α-amylase and α-glucosidase. Results suggested that the hot air and vacuum drying techniques could be appropriate drying methods before extraction of OPPs with high bioactivities for applications in the functional food and medicine industries.

The spectral anal. depends heavily on unwanted signals, such as the fluorescent background from the samples or other interfering components. A number of math. algorithms have been proposed to remove the background of Raman spectra. However, these methods require the selection of appropriate parameters to correct the of Raman spectra baseline. In this paper, we propose a method of adaptive noise model based on iteratively reweighted penalized least squares (ANM-IRPLS) for Raman spectrum baseline correction. The algorithm was applied to various artificial spectra containing real forms of baselines and characteristic Raman peaks and then to the spectra of real drug samples with fluorescence obtained on a device equipped with a 532-nm laser with a resolution of 15 cm-1. The modeling results showed that the proposed ANM-IRPLS baseline correction method allows for better results in background removal than the airPLS. For real Raman spectra processed by the ANM-IRPLS method, it is shown that the algorithm handles a complex background well, while maintaining the characteristic Raman signal features, such as a wide water peak for aqueous solutions

Angewandte Chemie, International Edition published new progress about Crystal structure. 627-27-0 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C4H8O, HPLC of Formula: 627-27-0.

Wang, Jianqun; Zhu, Yinuo; Li, Maosheng; Wang, Yanchao; Wang, Xianhong; Tao, Youhua published the artcile< Tug-of-War between Two Distinct Catalytic Sites Enables Fast and Selective Ring-Opening Copolymerizations>, HPLC of Formula: 627-27-0, the main research area is epoxide anhydride ring opening copolymerization thiourea boron catalyst; Differentiated Catalytic Sites; Organocatalysts; Polyester; Ring-Opening Copolymerizations; Tug-of-War.

Ring-opening copolymerizations have emerged as a powerful approach towards the creation of sustainable polymers. Typical H-bonding catalysts for ring-opening are subject to a single catalytic site. Here we describe a H-bond-donor/Lewis-acidic-boron organocatalyst featuring two distinct catalytic sites in one mol. The ring-opening copolymerization of epoxides with anhydride mediated by these modular, and tunable catalysts achieves high selectivity (>99% polyester selectivity) and markedly higher activity compared to either of the di-thiourea analogs or any combinations of them. Calculations and exptl. studies reveal that the superior catalytic performance arises from tug-of-war between two differentiated catalytic sites: thiourea pulls off the propagating chain-end from boron center, simultaneously enhancing the role of monomer activation and also nucleophilicity of the propagation intermediates.
