Molecules published new progress about Antioxidants. 492-62-6 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C6H12O6, HPLC of Formula: 492-62-6.

Samaha, Hala; Chahine, Nathalie; Sobolev, Anatoly Petrovich; Menghini, Luigi; Makhlouf, Hassane published the artcile< 1H-NMR Metabolic Profiling and Antioxidant Activity of Saffron (Crocus sativus) Cultivated in Lebanon>, HPLC of Formula: 492-62-6, the main research area is Crocus sativus antioxidant cultivation NMR metabolic profiling; Lebanon; NMR; geographical classification; metabolic profiling; microwave-assisted extraction; saffron.

Despite the beneficial health properties shown by Lebanese saffron, its qual. and quant. composition has never been investigated before. In the present study, NMR spectroscopy, together with antioxidant activity assays, were applied to evaluate the chem. composition of saffron samples of different geog. origins (Lebanon, Italy, Iran, and India) and to categorize the Lebanese saffron for the first time. The distinction between Lebanese saffron and that produced in other countries was attributed to its higher linolenic and linoleic fatty acids, glucose and picrocrocin contents. Moreover, spices produced in three different regions of the Lebanese territory have been clearly differentiated. Saffron cultivated in the Qaa region displayed a high glucose, fatty acids and polyphenols content, whereas Hermel saffron exhibited the largest rate of picrocrocin and glycosylated carotenoids. Finally, samples from Baalbeck showed lower rates for the majority of metabolites. Moreover, Lebanese saffron showed a high antioxidant activity in ABTS and DPPH assays. A low dose of saffron extract (10 μg/mL) inhibited the growth of human lung adenocarcinoma cells, probably due to the high polyphenolic content. This study highlights the quality and peculiarity of Lebanese saffron cultivated in Northern Beqaa district and allows for a good discrimination between spices produced in relatively close territory.

Thapa, Samir Bahadur; Pandey, Ramesh Prasad; Park, Yong Il; Sohng, Jae Kyung published the artcile< Biotechnological advances in resveratrol production and its chemical diversity>, SDS of cas: 501-36-0 , the main research area is chemical diversity; metabolic engineering; microbial production; resveratrol.

The very well-known bioactive natural product, resveratrol (3,5,4′-trihydroxystilbene), is a highly studied secondary metabolite produced by several plants, particularly grapes, passion fruit, white tea, and berries. It is in high demand not only because of its wide range of biol. activities against various kinds of cardiovascular and nerve-related diseases, but also as important ingredients in pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements. Due to its very low content in plants, multi-step isolation and purification processes, and environmental and chem. hazards issues, resveratrol extraction from plants is difficult, time consuming, impracticable, and unsustainable. Therefore, microbial hosts, such as Escherichia coli, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Corynebacterium glutamicum, are commonly used as an alternative production source by improvising resveratrol biosynthetic genes in them. The biosynthesis genes are rewired applying combinatorial biosynthetic systems, including metabolic engineering and synthetic biol., while optimizing the various production processes. The native biosynthesis of resveratrol is not present in microbes, which are easy to manipulate genetically, so the use of microbial hosts is increasing these days. This review will mainly focus on the recent biotechnol. advances for the production of resveratrol, including the various strategies used to produce its chem. diverse derivatives

Xu, Lei; Li, Xiaofei; Zhang, Yumeng; Ding, Meng; Sun, Baoshan; Su, Guangyue; Zhao, Yuqing published the artcile< The effects of linalool acupoint application therapy on sleep regulation>, Category: alcohols-buliding-blocks, the main research area is sleep latency lavender linalool hypnotic sedative.

The Shenque acupoint is located in the umbilicus of the human body. In the human body meridians, the Shenque acupoint can regulate body functions. The Shenque acupoint was one of the important acupuncture acupoints for the treatment of insomnia. However, the effect of linalool applied at the Shenque acupoint to improve sleep was unknown. This study explored the hypnotic and sedative effects of the main component of lavender, linalool, on the Shenque acupoint of mice and rats. The effects on the sleep latency and sleep duration were studied with the supra-threshold dose of pentobarbital sodium, and the effects on the sleep rate were studied with the sub-threshold dose of pentobarbital sodium. In order to further study the feasibility and superiority of linalool administered at the Shenque acupoint, a pharmacokinetic study was carried out. The pharmacodynamic results showed that the mice and rats treated with linalool at Shenque had the highest sleep rate, the shortest sleep latency, and the longest sleep duration compared with other groups. The Tmax and t1/2 of the LS were longer than those of the LO, and had the characteristics of sustained release. The relative bioavailability of LS was 323.0 ± 31.66%. This showed that the combination of linalool and the Shenque acupoint had greater medicinal effects. This development will provide a new direction for improving sleep.

Carbohydrate Research published new progress about Biomass. 87-73-0 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C6H10O8, Electric Literature of 87-73-0.

Scelfo, Simone; Geobaldo, Francesco; Pirone, Raffaele; Russo, Nunzio published the artcile< Catalytic wet air oxidation of D-glucose by perovskite type oxides (Fe, Co, Mn) for the synthesis of value-added chemicals>, Electric Literature of 87-73-0, the main research area is glucose wet air oxidation organic acid perovskite oxide catalyst; CWAO; Lactic acid; Levulinic acid; Perovskites; d-glucose; d-saccharic acid.

The conversion of common biomasses derived, as D-glucose, into value-added chems. has received highest attention in the last few years. Among all processes, the catalytic wet air oxidation (CWAO) of derived biomasses using noble metal-based heterogeneous catalytic systems has been investigated. Nevertheless, the redox effect of such catalysts on such bio-compounds has still to be investigated in detail. In the present work, the activity for the conversion of D-glucose into C6 aldaric acid, lactic acid and levulinic acid of some perovskite type oxides (LaBO3; B: Fe, Co, Mn) characterized by noticeable catalytic properties and stability under hydrothermal conditions, have been investigated. The influence of the reaction temperature and the effect of the catalytic properties on the distribution of the liquid products have been studied. In the best conditions, 50.3 mol.% and 69.5 mol.% of lactic and levulinic acid have been obtained by using LaCoO3 and LaMnO3, resp. Apart from the oxidative effect, the affinity hydrogen allowed the catalytic conversion of some key intermediates, such as pyruvic aldehyde and hydroxymethylfurfural, into the desired products. LaMnO3, which has resulted to be the most oxidizable/reducible catalyst at low temperatures, has shown the best catalytic activity among the studied catalysts, promoting the conversion of hydroxymethylfurfural to levulinic acid and giving overall the highest yield.

Chaintreau, Alain’s team published research in Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry in 2019-02-13 | 104-76-7

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry published new progress about Odor and Odorous substances. 104-76-7 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H18O, SDS of cas: 104-76-7.

Chaintreau, Alain; Keller, Urs; Zellner, Barbara; Nguy, Kelly; Leocata, Sabine; Begnaud, Frederic published the artcile< From the representativeness of sampled odors to an olfactive camera>, SDS of cas: 104-76-7, the main research area is odor static trap headspace olfactive camera; aroma; fragrance; odor; olfactive camera; quantitation; representativeness; static-and-trapped headspace.

Although representativeness is often a prerequisite when sampling odors, the methods used have never been assessed from the anal. and sensory perspective simultaneously. We validate several critical innovations in the methods used to sample odors, starting with a previously developed static-and-trapped headspace (S&T-HS) cell, to minimize sorptive biases and allow for thermodesorption of trapped odors. The addition of a desorption oven allows for restoration and testing of odors sampled by not only S&T-HS but also other techniques (solid-phase microextraction, headspace sorptive extraction, purge-and-trap headspace). The S&T-HS cell exhibits satisfactory representativeness, much higher than the three other techniques. This allows, for the first time, a proposal to use this technol. as an olfactive camera to capture and restore an odor. The method was tested on a sample of a complex fresh ashtray odor.

Multi-enzymic cascade reactions have gathered a lot of interest lately because of their potential for sustainable production of chems. In this paper, model-based, multi-objective, dynamic optimization is applied to the design of an enzymic cascade reactor that produces α-ketoglutarate. Pareto-optimal process schedules, which are best compromises between space-time yield, enzyme consumption and cofactor consumption, are determined and visualized. Depending on the importance of the individual objectives, the optimal process schedules vary. It is demonstrated, that multi-objective optimization is a valuable tool for the development of enzymic cascades. It provides decision support for making further experiments, finding bottlenecks in the cascade, and choosing an optimal process schedule for the production

An electrochem. protocol for the selective oxidation of sulfides RSR1 (R = Ph, 2-bromophenyl, pyridin-2-yl, etc.; R1 = Me, 3-hydroxypropyl, cyclohexyl, etc.) and e.g., dibenzothiophene to sulfoxides RS(O)R1 and dibenzothiophene sulfoxide has been developed in NaCl that plays a dual role: (1) as an electrolyte for the electrochem. transformations and (2) as a redox mediator to avoid oxidation of sensitive functional groups. Instead of a traditional oxidant, this methodol. utilized traceless electrons as an ideal oxidant using anodic oxidation to access sulfoxides in good to excellent yields at ambient temperature This metal-free electrochem. protocol is simple, environmentally friendly, and compatible with various sensitive functional groups using mixed acetone/water as the green solvent.
