Dardenne, Kathy;Duckworth, Sarah;Gaona, Xavier;Polly, Robert;Schimmelpfennig, Bernd;Pruessmann, Tim;Rothe, Joerg;Altmaier, Marcus;Geckeis, Horst research published 《 A Combined Study of Tc Redox Speciation in Complex Aqueous Systems: Wet-Chemistry, Tc K-/L3-Edge X-ray Absorption Fine Structure, and Ab Initio Calculations》, the research content is summarized as follows. The combination of wet-chem. experiments (measurements of pH, Eh, and [Tc]) and advanced spectroscopic techniques (K- and L3-edge X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy) confirms the formation of a very stable Tc(V)-gluconate complex under anoxic conditions. In the presence of gluconate and an excess of Sn(II) (at pe + pH ≈ 2), technetium forms a very stable Tc(IV)-gluconate complex significantly enhancing the solubility defined by TcO2(s) in hyperalkaline gluconate-free systems. A new setup for “tender” X-ray spectroscopy (spectral range, ~2-5 keV) in transmission or total fluorescence yield detection mode based on a He flow cell has been developed at the INE Beamline for radionuclide science (KIT light source). This setup allows handling of radioactive specimens with total activities up to one million times the exemption limit. For the first time, Tc L3-edge measurements (~2.677 keV) of Tc species in liquid (aqueous) media are reported, clearly outperforming conventional K-edge spectroscopy as a tool to differentiate Tc oxidation states and coordination environments. The coupling of L3-edge X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy measurements and relativistic multireference ab initio methods opens new perspectives in the definition of chem. and thermodn. models for systems of relevance in the context of nuclear waste disposal, environmental, and pharmaceutical applications.

This work aims to encapsulate anthocyanins and phenolic compounds extracted from a native Brazilian fruit peel – jabuticaba (Plinia cauliflora (Mart.) Kausel) and propolis from Tubuna (Scaptotrigona bipunctata) stingless bees, with great potential benefits for human health. The alginate encapsulation was conducted by the ionotropic gelation through the dripping into the CaCl2 solution Both raw extracts were characterized by TPC – total phenolic content (Folin-Ciocalteu), AA -antioxidant activity (DPPH and ABTS assays), and TMAC – total monomeric anthocyanin concentration (pH differential method); as well as their resultant mixture (2:1 jabuticaba/propolis). The obtained beads presented highly efficient encapsulation of total polyphenols (∼98%) and monomeric anthocyanins (∼89%), with spherical morphol. and smooth surface obtaining a mean diameter between 200 and 250μm. In vitro release study showed that JPE/alginate beads were completely disintegrated at pH 7.4 (intestinal pH), but they were resistant to gastric pH (1.2) presenting a slow release of about 40% in 240 min. This is the first report that encapsulates the mixture of jabuticaba and propolis extracts and may contribute to the utilization of a great source of bioactive compounds besides the potential pigment of anthocyanins, an alternative to natural and healthy food/beverage colorants.

Dai, Yuxuan;Wang, Yuting;Zuo, Gancheng;Kong, Jijie;Guo, Yang;Sun, Cheng;Xian, Qiming research published 《 Photocatalytic degradation mechanism of phenanthrene over visible light driven plasmonic Ag/Ag3PO4/g-C3N4 heterojunction nanocomposite》, the research content is summarized as follows. Visible light driven plasmonic Ag/Ag3PO4/g-C3N4 heterojunction nanocomposite with regular morphol. was prepared via a modified facile method. The two-dimensional ultrathin g-C3N4 nanosheet is uniformly wrapped on the surface of Ag3PO4 nanopolyhedron. A charge transfer bridge was built between Ag3PO4 nanopolyhedron and g-C3N4 nanosheet due to the reduction of Ag nanoparticles. This structure can inhibit the recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs and promote the transfer of photogenerated carriers, so as to produce more active species for participating in the photocatalytic reaction. In addition, the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) of appropriate Ag nanoparticles enhanced the absorption and utilization of visible light. Compared with Ag3PO4 and Ag/Ag3PO4, Ag/Ag3PO4/g-C3N4 showed higher photocatalytic activity. Under visible light irradiation, the degradation rate of phenanthrene (PHE) was 0.01756 min-1, which was 3.14 times and 2.38 times that of Ag3PO4 and Ag/Ag3PO4, resp. After four cycles of photocatalytic reaction, the Ag/Ag3PO4 /g-C3N4 photocatalyst still maintained high photocatalytic activity. The active sites of PHE were predicted by Gaussian simulation calculation and combined with intermediate products identification of GC-MS, the possible degradation pathway of PHE was speculated. This research has reference significance for the construction of plasmonic heterojunction photocatalyst in the field of environmental pollution remediation.

Dai, Mei;Luo, Zhiyong;Luo, Yiwen;Zheng, Qing;Zhang, Bingwen research published 《 Degradation of 2,6-dichlorophenol by ferrate (VI) oxidation: Kinetics, performance, and mechanism》, the research content is summarized as follows. The kinetics, performance and mechanism of the oxidative degradation of 2,6-dichlorophenol (2,6-DCP) by ferrate(VI) (Fe(VI)) were investigated in this study. The kinetics of oxidation of 2,6-DCP with Fe(VI) were studied as a function of pH (8.23-10.45) and temperature (20.0-33.5°C). The reaction follows a second-order rate law with first order in each reactant. The reaction rate constants were found to decrease non-linearly from 265.14 ± 14.10 M-1·s-1 at pH 8.23 to 9.80 ± 0.72 M-1·s-1 at pH 10.45. The individual species-specific second-order rate constants were calculated using pH dependence of species distributions of Fe(VI) (HFeO4– and FeO2-4) and 2,6-DCP (2,6-DCP and 2,6-DCP-). The reaction of deprotonated 2,6-DCP with protonated Fe(VI) was found to occur fastest among four parallel reactions between Fe(VI) and 2,6-DCP species. The correlation between temperature and rate constant showed that the activation energy of the reaction was 19.00 ± 1.82 kJ·mol-1. Removal performance depends on pH and molar ratio of Fe(VI) to 2,6-DCP. 2,6-DCP degradation efficiency decreased with increasing pH, which was in accord with pH dependence of the reaction constants Complete removal of 2,6-DCP by Fe(VI) was achieved at a 6:1 or higher molar ratio. The oxidized products (OPs) of 2,6-DCP were identified using high performance liquid chromatog. – mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) and ion-selective electrode (ISE), and a dechlorination and ring-opening mechanism of 2,6-DCP degradation by Fe(VI) was proposed in detail. The results indicate that it is feasible and highly efficient for 2,6-DCP degraded by Fe(VI) to form nontoxic products.

D-gluconic acid sodium salt also has been shown to have antihypertensive effects in rats through the inhibition of angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1) signaling pathway and erythrocyte proliferation. This drug also has been shown to bind benzalkonium chloride and x-ray diffraction data show that it is crystalline in nature. The analytical method for determining the concentration of D-gluconic acid sodium salt is by electrochemical impedance, 527-07-1.

Simple alcohols are found widely in nature. Ethanol is the most prominent because it is the product of fermentation, a major energy-producing pathway. 527-07-1, formula is C6H11NaO7, Other simple alcohols, chiefly fusel alcohols, are formed in only trace amounts. More complex alcohols however are pervasive, as manifested in sugars, some amino acids, and fatty acids. , COA of Formula: C6H11NaO7

Dabrowska, Dorota;Mozejko-Ciesielska, Justyna;Pokoj, Tomasz;Ciesielski, Slawomir research published 《 Transcriptome changes in Pseudomonas putida KT2440 during medium-chain-length polyhydroxyalkanoate synthesis induced by nitrogen limitation》, the research content is summarized as follows. Pseudomonas putida′s versatility and metabolic flexibility make it an ideal biotechnol. platform for producing valuable chems., such as medium-chain-length polyhydroxyalkanoates (mcl-PHAs), which are considered the next generation bioplastics. This bacterium responds to environmental stimuli by rearranging its metabolism to improve its fitness and increase its chances of survival in harsh environments. Mcl-PHAs play an important role in central metabolism, serving as a reservoir of carbon and energy. Due to the complexity of mcl-PHAs′ metabolism, the manner in which P. putida changes its transcriptome to favor mcl-PHA synthesis in response to environmental stimuli remains unclear. Therefore, our objective was to investigate how the P. putida KT2440 wild type and mutants adjust their transcriptomes to synthesize mcl-PHAs in response to nitrogen limitation when supplied with sodium gluconate as an external carbon source. We found that, under nitrogen limitation, mcl-PHA accumulation is significantly lower in the mutant deficient in the stringent response than in the wild type or the rpoN mutant. Transcriptome anal. revealed that, under N-limiting conditions, 24 genes were downregulated and 21 were upregulated that were common to all three strains. Addnl., potential regulators of these genes were identified: the global anaerobic regulator (Anr, consisting of FnrA, Fnrb, and FnrC), NorR, NasT, the sigma54-dependent transcriptional regulator, and the dual component NtrB/NtrC regulator all appear to play important roles in transcriptome rearrangement under N-limiting conditions. The role of these regulators in mcl-PHA synthesis is discussed.

Tert-butyl 3-hydroxyazetidine-1-carboxylate has been shown to be a good substrate for the preparation of N-protected amino alcohols and amines by the process of reductive amination. In this synthesis, tert-butyl azetidinium chloride is used as a catalyst in the reaction with sodium hydroxide. The tert-butyl group can be removed using ammonium hydroxide in the presence of a base such as triethylamine. This reaction can be performed on a large scale, making it useful in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. The efficiency and solubility of this process make it suitable for use as an introduction to other processes involving N-protected amino alcohols or amines., 141699-55-0.

Electric Literature of 24034-73-9, Geranylgeraniol is a diterpenoid that is hexadeca-2,6,10,14-tetraene substituted by methyl groups at positions 3, 7, 11 and 15 and a hydroxy group at position 1. It has a role as a plant metabolite, a volatile oil component and an antileishmanial agent. It is a diterpenoid and a polyprenol.

Geranylgeraniol, a precursor to geranylgeranylpyrophosphate, is an intermediate in the mevalonate pathway. Geranylgeraniol has been shown to prevent bone re-absorption, inhibition of osteoclast formation, and kinase activation in vitro. When working with statins, Geranylgeraniol can reduce the toxicity without inhibiting the cholesterol-producing effects. Geranylgeraniol has been documented to counteract the effects of fluvastatin by inhibiting activation of caspase-1 and production of IL-1. Additionally Geranylgeraniol has been found to induce apoptosis in HL-60 cells.

Cui, Qingyu;Ye, Liqin;Guo, Chang-e;Li, Weidong research published 《 Assessing Volatiles in Three Chinese Dwarf Cherry Cultivars during Veraison and Maturation Using Headspace-Solid Phase Microextraction with Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry》, the research content is summarized as follows. Chinese dwarf cherry is a native shrub in northwest China with a rich and unique fruit aroma. This study aims to determine the changes in volatile profiles during the maturation period, which provides a theor. basis for the optimal harvest times and the breeding of aroma-rich varieties. The variation in the production of 164 volatile compounds from three Chinese dwarf cherry cultivars, namely, “Jing’ou 1”, “Jing’ou 2”, and “Jing’ou 3”, were investigated by headspace-solid phase microextraction (HS-SPME)-GC-MS. These volatiles mainly constituted alcs., carbonyls, esters, terpenoids, and hydrocarbons. Their maturation process could be divided into three stages, namely prophase, metaphase, and anaphase. Prophase contained an abundance of hydrocarbons and carbonyls, primarily benzaldehyde being dominant among all volatiles. During metaphase, volatiles remained at a low level of abundance and diversity. Anaphase coincided with full maturation and was associated with esters and terpenoids; in particular, “Jing’ou 3” presented more compound diversity and a high level of acetate esters. The periods including the week prior to veraison and the week during maturation were particularly critical in volatile formation in Chinese dwarf cherries. This study reveals that the low level or lack of hexanal might be one of the distinctive characteristics separating Chinese dwarf cherries from other Cerasus or Rosaceae fruits.
